The Caitlin Lowe era has begun. Honestly, I do not know what to expect for this year, but if the players take after their new coach, we should be fine.

Keep a sharp eye on this, her little sister is a freshman for us this year and obviously we have a glaring hole at ACE. This would be huge.
Re: 2022 Season Thread
That would be huge if she came here. I did read some fans think she could be transferring to Samford. Her really good friend MK Tedder transferred there this summer. We should know soon since school began this week.

She’s from my area, and she was a monster in high school. Just dominant in every phase of the game.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Curious how our infield ends up. Lots of options to fill spots now.

Hailey Dolcini has entered the transfer portal. It would be great if she became a Wildcat.

What a lovely surprise.
“The reality is that the hardest games to win are over teams on their home court. Teams that don’t play those games can spin it however they want, but what they’re saying is, ‘We don’t want to lose in our non conference season.’" - Sean Miller

Re: 2022 Season Thread
Wanna give a shoutout to Coach Lowe's lineup creativity. She had Devyn Netz pitch and bat last night, while having back up catcher, Bailey Thompson, catch, but not in the batting lineup. That's fun. I can't remember the last time Candrea did something like that.

New Mexico gave Alabama a better game than the Cats did. The Lobos might not be bad. Also, this UofA team lost a lot from last year. Yesterday's starting line-up were either sophomores or freshmen, except for Bowen, who pitched.ChooChooCat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 8:09 amA 1-0 win over New Mexico? This team has a long way to go.
There will be times when the bats are cold, but I believe they will be much improved as the season progresses.

Not a good look for Caitlin's team the first time out of the gate against a big time program. Caitlin is a tough, tough cookie though and I'm sure she'll shape these girls up. Toughness counts and Arizona teams will be tough.Irish27 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 3:48 pmNew Mexico gave Alabama a better game than the Cats did. The Lobos might not be bad. I hope George’s time in Tucson convinces him that USC and UCLA are not the only programs worth promoting and protecting in the conference he runs.

Re: 2022 Season Thread
That does not sound good. Hanah is a good, not great pitcher, but this team definitely needs her. She basically is the only veteran pitcher they have. Going with Elish, Netz and Fontes for the remainder of the season will be a tough learning experience.
