How is Pac-12 teams rated so low? Oregon and Colorado are in 50s-60s of both NET and Kenpom rankings, yet neither is on the buble. While 18-8 Ohio state is ranked 18th. A conference that generated 3 elite eights in 2021?

As a kid I believed you couldn't do better for a career in sports broadcasting. Travel, live sports, on TV.
But watching this lifeless Stanford-Arizona St Pac 12 tournament game, I'm much better off having the option to watch this crap in my room rather than be assigned to cover this. The announcers are laboring through trying hype up such lifeless basketball in a mostly empty arena.

ASU...HaHaHaHaHa!!!
They try to spin it as "a great Stanford comeback." Uh, no...that was an absolutely epic collapse.

Re: 2021-22 Pac 12 Game thread
There was a great Gary Larson Far Side cartoon years ago. It had a Cro Magnon mocking a Neanderthal, by sticking its tongue out and putting its thumbs in its ears and wiggling the other fingers and saying: "Nya-nya...Neaderthals...can't make fire...can't make spear!" Don't know why, but I see Bobby Hurley's dismayed face and I think of that. Nice game, coach. And nice season. Say hi to Ray and Michael for me.

ya man i cringe at the thought of this meaningless game from all accounts - Stanford just wants to ugly the game cause they dont have the players and try and pound us, no skill.
its very frustrating to watch and gives me anxiety

I Realize We All Wanted To Thump ASU Again...
...but there is a delicious irony to this.
Even ASU types could not have been so delusional to think that they were so hot, they could run the table in Vegas and get an NCAA bid. (And when I say ASU types, I mean fans, players, coaches, administrators, and their local in-the-tank media.) No, they assumed they'd easily handle Stanford, as they did last week. Then, it would be an all-out effort to absolutely make their season with an otherwise meaningless win over Arizona. In their dreams, despite losing the T-Cup Series, they could still have the final word in the series, deny us a 1-seed, and hope to sit back as observers and exult if we lost in the first weekend. Because that's all ASU basketball is; just root for an occasional upset win over the Wildcats, then root against us so they don't feel so bad about their place in the world. Which is second-class citizens in their own city, state, and conference. For them to not even gain access to that stage to die on is more appropriate. Beyond that, they completely embarrassed themselves with the late collapse with the game in the bag, they angered their supporters, and they were immediately erased and gone. It was so bad, the Republic even went out of their way to downplay it and prattle on about previously ignored sports like gymnastics and sand volleyball.
Nice game. Nice season. Next.
