For what Chi mentions, but also for the fact that I think if it were to happen this year, we'd go through the Rose Bowl to get it.

Think about that for a moment, we'd get a Rose Bowl victory + the Championship in the first year of the playoff? I know a lot of fans who'd die happy.

I would actually be happy with a PAC-12 Championship and a Rose Bowl appearance and a Final Four in hoops.

Anything else would be icing on the cake for me.

Football was my favorite sport growing up, and it's still on the top of the absolute most fun things I've ever done. Being at UA during the late eighties made me a huge basketball fan, but I've been dreaming of a Rose Bowl for decades. Hoops championship? Hell yeah, but I fully expect to experience that in my life time. I've never even dreamed of a football natty... Till now anyway.

I don't think we would play in the Rose Bowl.. Only way we get in is as a 4 seed and isn't it geographical to the higher seed? Bama FSU and TCU as a #1 would all be the Sugar. Only way would be to pull a #3 seed.

well we're pretty much talking pie-in-the-sky hypothetical here, right? In the scenario I envision, the only way we make the playoff is as a #3 seed, and we face #2 FSU in the Rose Bowl.

If Ohio State and Florida State both lose this week, which is not all that hard to imagine, I think there is a better chance than not that we are the 3 seed with a win over Oregon.

K-State beats Baylor, too, and I'd say it's close to a sure thing.
