Lucky to only be down six. Don’t like our body language. We’ve been punched in the mouth and aren’t sure if we want to respond.

The fact we are down only by 6 at half is a fucking miracle. Several of our players have their heads stuck in a bad place.

Being down 6 is indeed a break. We're going to see if Tommy learned anything from the Baylor game last year
Re: (M) Game 37, Houston at Arizona (NCAA Tournament- Sweet 16 ) (2021-2022)
If this doesn’t work out tonight and Duke loses too, at least that does give me some peace that we won’t have to hear as much Duke bullshit from now on (hopefully).
Re: (M) Game 37, Houston at Arizona (NCAA Tournament- Sweet 16 ) (2021-2022)
Hard to attack when their athletes are quicker than yours. Basically only Mathurin, Koloko, and Terry are comparable to Houstons athletes. We can still win but we need better movement, screening, passing and spacing to fight their quickness, physicality, and athleticism.Abrahamarvel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:10 pm Their defense is good, but we need to play not scared of their physicality. Attack the basket!

I much prefer your halftime score... what channel are you watching on?EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:09 pm Well we sucked balls in the first half and only down by 2.
We need to come out fighting and scrapping. Our energy and effort must be WAY better.

Zu is becoming Zeus with the hands.
I’d really like to see some sort stuff f set to get a lob or something.
Still think we wait for rebounds and don’t box out

Switched over to the TT - Duke game. So nice to see teams that can actually shoot and not watch potential rebounds go flying by like the ball will hurt you if touched.

Zu needs to work on moving to his right and shooting with his right hand. He also needs to work on upper and lower body strength. Even if he does this, his ceiling is playing in Europe. I can't see him ever playing in the NBA.

Of those 7 FGs, we have 6 assists. Who knew…RondaeShimmy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:07 pm If they didn't call a bunch of fouls on Houston, we'd be getting cooked really badly
Arizona has 7 total FGs and 10/14 from the free throw line
Thank the refs

He can't stay on the floor. He loses or gets stripped the ball in the perimeter, post, wing - all over the place.Postmaster wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:18 pm Zu is becoming Zeus with the hands.

Just need Koloko and Benn to be even marginally better and we got this

Pretty sure he also needs to get smacked in the mouth or something to elicit some sort of emotion. I mean, maybe it doesn’t ever happen, but he seems way too robotic.Catintheheat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:19 pm Zu needs to work on moving to his right and shooting with his right hand. I would much rather have Zeus out there. Zu is more like Loren Woods, gets rattled too easily and the game gets in his head.RondaeShimmy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:20 pmHe can't stay on the floor. It’ll be interesting to see what adjustments they make at halftime.

There are no lifts designed to increase will. If we want it more than Houston in the second half we can win this game. They badly want it of course so we better dial it up

You know him better than we do. What do you think he said about 50/50 balls and O boards?

Definitely playing with wayyyyy more urgency. Lloyd must of laid into them at half.
