INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – One of the top sophomore prospects in the Under Armour Association is point guard Zoom Diallo, from Tacoma (Wash.) Curtis. Playing up an age level, the 6-foot-3, poised guard with great pace wants to show he can be the main catalyst for success no matter the level of competition.
"I am trying to show that I can lead my team to wins," Diallo said. "If I can lead teams, then I can show that I am one of the best point guards in my class."
On the recruiting trail, it's not allowed per NCAA rules for coaches to directly contact Diallo, a sophomore, until this summer, but he does know Arizona, Gonzaga, and UCLA are the programs recruiting him the hardest. He discussed the trio of recent successful programs with 247Spor

BRYANT DRAWS A CROWD
Already ranked No. 24 nationally in the class of 2024 by 247sports, nobody drew a bigger crowd than 6-foot-7 small forward Carter Bryant of Fountain Valley (Calif,) High. Head coaches from Arizona, California, Pepperdine, UCLA, UNLV and Washington were just a few that we were able to spot in addition to assistants from Arizona State, Gonzaga, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Stanford, USC and many more programs. It is pretty easy to see why he is being so heavily monitored early.
Bryant has tremendous size for a young wing and after first spotting him at this same event last year, he’s continued to improve each time we’ve seen him over the last 12 months. A fine athlete, Bryant can post some, he is a capable ball handler and passer and what really stands out is how nice his jump shot looks when he catches in rhythm and lets it fly. He’s still got some edges to round out with his game, he’s got to be a little more physical and he’s got to get more consistently impactful, but if and when he puts it all together, we are talking about a guy that could potentially push for the national top 10. Bryant has already been to Arizona multiple times and told 247Sports that he’s hoping to make it to both UCLA and USC in the near future.

Re: Lets Talk '24
“Arizona is recruiting me pretty heavily. Missouri is recruiting me pretty heavily, Kentucky, USC, UCLA, Oregon and a lot of Pac 12 schools.”
A big wing with good athleticism, Bryant is comfortable posting up, rebounds well and he has a pretty jump shot, especially when he catches on the move and shoots in rhythm. He’s already been to Arizona a few times and said that he’s hoping to stop by each of UCLA and USC before the end of the month.
Arizona: “I’m grateful for the offer. I’m the only 2024 player that they’ve offered and I’m grateful that Coach Lloyd and his stuff trusted me and they gave me the opportunity to play for their program. There was no pitch, just that it is a family, and it will be like home. They don’t sugarcoat it if you play terrible, they are going to tell you that you played terrible. It’s not going to be a thing where they tell you this or that to get you there, they are going give you it straight.”

If you wanna land some Texas kids (with no Tucson connections) then we gotta move to the Big 12.

Tommy is getting after it!
Re: Lets Talk '24
Amidst the 26 offers he has already received due to his talent, he says five schools have been prioritizing him heading into the fall - Notre Dame, Arizona, UConn, Virginia Tech and Rutgers.
Arizona: "They just had two first round draft picks that play the same position as me so with them we broke down film about how I can fit in their system. They play winning basketball and it's far but location doesn't have a factor in my recruitment."

Not sure an Indiana guy would have the goods on a very quiet recruitment that doesn’t involve Indiana.dmjcat wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:30 pm The UA just picked up a Crystal Ball for Cody Williams:

I'm waiting for the Choo Crystal Ball.
Re: Lets Talk '24
Just a couple of recruiting and red/blue game questions:
1. Is the game going to be streamed/televised?
2. I know we have a bunch of recruits coming but is this still used as a major recruiting tool by the new coaching staff?
3. Any estimates on expected attendance?
Anyone with any answers I would appreciate it. I think the uniforms look great. Can anyone tell me where the Lute tag is?

ARIZONA WORTH WATCHING IN REGARDS TO CARTER BRYANT
CARTER BRYANT
UNDECIDED
6'7" | 190 LBS | SF | 2024
SAGE HILL SCHOOL
NEWPORT BEACH, CA
Arizona may have an uphill battle on its hands when it comes to Dedan Thomas, but the Wildcats have reason to feel a bit more optimistic when it comes to five-star forward Carter Bryant, the No. 8 prospect in the 2024 class.
The Wildcats have long prioritized Bryant, as head coach Tommy Lloyd has taken the lead in the Newport Coast (Calif.) Sage Hill High School star’s recruitment. The entire staff dropped by to see Thomas when coaches were permitted to hit the road last month and the bond between Bryant and the Wildcats has grown even stronger since. He visited Tucson over the weekend, and U of A’s momentum in his recruitment seems to grow by the week.
It must be noted, of course, that it’s early in Bryant’s process and heavy hitters such as Duke, UCLA and others are also involved. Arizona is, however, at the very least, a team to monitor closely.

Feel pretty good about Cody Williams at this point, but it's a very quiet recruitment from a leak standpoint. He's an Arizona kid and Tommy has to put a bubble around state of Arizona talent as good at him. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I like where we sit at the moment.Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 2:06 pm Choo, would love you to chime on in our chances with some of these '23 and '24 players, whenever you get a chance.

Dedan Thomas comes down to Houston, Gonzaga, or Arizona. If he reclassifies to 2023 he won't be coming to Arizona.
Zoom Diallo is likely an Arizona/Gonzaga battle.
Nobody is doing better for Carter Bryant than us. Obviously the quicker this recruitment is over the better for Arizona with Duke getting involved.
Derik Queen is probably Maryland bound, but a visit to Arizona could possibly change that.
That's it for now. Lots of international guys afloat of course.
