Yeah we went ice cold after that hot start. Hope Adia can get them back on track in the second half. 6 points feels like a mountain to climb in this game.

Adia has been saying this team is not good on defense. Hopefully the players will work harder at becoming a better defensive team.

Didn't See That Coming
I was flipping between the Rams game and the Cats, and right at tip-off, I mentioned to my wife how cool it is that we now have a big-time women's basketball program. Well, maybe not a consistent one yet. The 6-6 gal for Kansas really made an impact in terms of disrupting shots, and I don't think we ever got into any kind of decent rhythm. Kansas also out-hustled them on the boards and for loose balls. The Jayhawks were very quick and aggressive about contesting everything, and the refs let them play, which I think is great, but the Cats may not have been used to it. The number of missed layups and close-in shots was startling for an Adia Barnes team. KU is way underrated and had a chip on their shoulders, and it was a tough matchup. But, Arizona also seemed to think they could just show up at McKale in front of a big crowd and they'd roll. If they'd been smarter, fought harder thoughout, and made a reasonable number of the shots that they should have made, it would have at least been a respectable and competitive game. I'm sure Adia wasn't pleased about the way they fizzled when they got down double-digits. Lots of talent on this Wildcat team, and lots of season to go, so maybe this was a blessing in disguise. But, despite the record and ranking going in, we obviously also don't look remotely like an elite national team at this point.
