How did the Cats beat out Oregon for him especially with Wiley returning?

With that speed put him at slot receiver?

Wiley will be gone when he gets here but your statement still stands Merkin. He looks like a good one, top 200 player and he picked us over some great offers.

In Spears' story on Caravallo, he didn't mention Leviticus Su'a on our list of recruits. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I believe he's still listed as an Arizona commit and our top recruit.

Su'a is a 2023 recruit not a 2024. He's on last years list and we'll see him in the Fall

Great. I long thought the San Diego area was under recruited by us. We're really just down the street and should be competing for more of these athletes.

Some recruiting services don't rank kickers or punters for their own reasons. Probably mostly because the range of their coverage and level of expertise would be exposed. Personally, I think good specialists at those positions can be absolutely critical weapons. I've hated it when coaches have shrugged and given the job to whoever is the best walk-on, recruited or otherwise. And if you have somebody who can do both well, it's definitely worth a scholarship. So here you've got a guy who, in the evening marine layer at sea-level in Mission Viejo, can boom you out of trouble with long punts, mostly negate kickoff returns, and nail a long FG when you may need one. Like, say, at the end of a game. Now move him to almost a half-mile high altitude and bone-dry air in Tucson and watch the ball carry. If he can't do it already, work with him on coffin-corner punts, but otherwise, he should be plug-and-play. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy about this one.
