Our loss definitely sucks. But this takes a little bit of stench off it.

New Jersey basketball is killing it the last couple of days.
Re: 2023 NCAA Tournament Thread
Look on the bright side Purdue, no one will remember the second 1 seed to ever lose to a 16.

Re: 2023 NCAA Tournament Thread
Crazy thing about that one is that FDU did not win their conf tourney, they lost to Mcneese st. Who is ineligible for the tourney because they are transitioning to D1.
Crazy!!!
Crazy!!!
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

ASU didn't get farther than us. All is right with the world again.

Proof there is a God.
The day after our debacle Purdon't gets slayed by a 16 seed and asu chokes one away.
There is a little less sting tonight.

Re: 2023 NCAA Tournament Thread
There is less sting when the chaos wrecks others as well.
Now I just have to figure out if the joy of hope for the tournament produced by a solid year is greater than the pain of the disappointment in hope unfulfilled.
So would you rather win 30 ish games every year and get bounced before the final 4 or, be kind of fringe top 25 and flirt with the bubble every year and then have a miracle run a couple times.
So would I rather be an Arizona fan or a UConn fan.
Oh man, I'm glad I'm not a Purdue fan. That, wow, just, that's gotta be tough.
We gotta play tougher, the Pac 12 refs do not prepare you for the type of physicality that happens in this tournament. We get penalized all year if we play physical D only to come here and get beat on.
That's nothe the only thing that happened, we played to protect our lead, not to grow it. Man they swatted fricking everything!!!
That was tough. I want to watch it again to do a post mortem but I'm not sure I can handle it. This team was good. I thought the Princeton players were going after Ballos hand, thought I even saw a guy signal to his teammates to go after it at one point. Could just be making that up though.
These guys did great, I'm gonna miss Ced and Ramey, looking forward to see if Boz will be out there with Kerr a lot and let Kerr be a shooter.
Wondering if we'll get Comche (sp?)
Man we need a freaking athlete from the portal, like a 6'9" freak that can shoot the 3 well enough to keep the D honest. They grow on trees right?
Hope they all come back next year, that will be a lot of experience.
Can we go to the big12 already and play some tourney ball?
Looking forward to what CTL has for us for next year.
This loss sucked. But didn't we win the natty like 3 years after our last 2-15 upset?

Down goes Duke. I feel a little better now. Yet I am still shocked how much UA underperformed on the biggest stage of amateur basketball.

Kinda rooting for Princeton to go as far as humanly possible.

Re: 2023 NCAA Tournament Thread
Seems like so often we get taken out by a team that then immediately poops their pants and it is so embarrassing to have lost to such a bunch of schmucks, not this year.
