Either that, or Caitlin Clark would be transferring to Arizona!!

But we lose another one...

Yeesh. I hope Adia has a plan to actually keep people next year.

I watched most of the McD's All-American Game yesterday afternoon.
Jada Williams is the real deal, and great entertainment, also!!
Breya Cunningham looks she'll need some development, like Maya has.

Will they be able to field a starting 5 at this point?

Re: 2022-2023 Season
Interesting doings. Kailyn was in line to be the starting PG, but Adia flipped Jada Williams from UCLA, and by all accounts, she's great. But that still would have been just two point guards on the roster, with Kailyn having the edge in experience. This is kind of the transfer portal at it's worst, in terms of making it easy and basically encouraging players to not stick it out and compete and help build a stronger team. You just can't be in a situation where you have to be all-in on a player and guarantee them playing time for a few years and don't recruit over them in a different year. So we had a high-level recruit from Long Island who left over competition, another high-level recruit from Tampa at the same position, and now she's gone due to a high-level recruit from San Diego. If it's any consolation, we apparently have the best of the three, but it's still a ridiculous situation. Meanwhile, I don't know the count, but it's a number of players with eligibility leaving over the last two years, as well as two assistant coaches. At best, it requires a belief that there were a lot of "misses" in recruiting and hiring, but that shouldn't happen anyway.

Re: 2022-2023 Season
It sucks to lose so many players and you’ll never know how a player would have improved, but I must say that Gilbert seemed to have learned some of the bad Pellington traits.
In the end, the one that frosts me a little is Ware. She benefitted from Arizona medical and rehab all season (and seasons prior), then leaves. Too bad they can’t bill her now (unless, of course, she felt she had been put in some sort of peril by this staff). I do hope for her sake she goes somewhere to play again. I don’t wish her ill, it just rubs me the wrong way.

Jade Loville drafted late in WNBA 3rd round by Seattle Storm. Cate and Shaina were not drafted.
