Polythress Out for the Season

Post by az91 »

Alex Polytrhess tore his ACL and is out for the season. If there was ever a team that could adopt to this kind of loss, it is Kentucky. Maybe they don't go undefeated this year?

Goodman had a classy tweet right after, speculating they could improve with him being out...

As much as I despise UK, poor kid. Poythress is an example of what is great about student athletes. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he has 4.0 or near 4.0. And is set to graduate at then end of this year, a year early.

Damn shame, that. Fryby, if you're right, that is incredibly impressive. I stuggled to graduate in 4, and I didn't do anything at a D1 level. Except maybe drinking.

Poythress is probably the one player on that squad that I really like, from his game to his personality to his hard work. Sucks. He could have gone pro and made the right decision. Now he will have to wait another year.
