Well I had just been perusing kenpom when I saw that post, and had been thinking to myself that Auburn has pretty good numbers.

Probably the narrowest point spread we've had since the non-conference season.

Is that 1.5 OTs? Soooooo, double overtime to deal with the FlufferBros and anything less is a technical loss.

Yea that's the stat of the season!

1290 radio guys pregame were breaking down the end of regulation game situation where Boswell took the long 3.

They made a few points explaining the lack of attempt to penetrate. 1) Turn over for pick 6 game over is a real issue 2) Cats had only made 3 jumpers in the entire 2nd half 3) Did they have a play for a man defense only 4) Catch and shoot for Bos right before the clock expired wasn't such a bad shot everything considered.

We have the inside track now. Those two wins were HUGE. All the more given how top 10 teams have been losing.

I'm hoping this week was a little preview of something that hasn't happened for many years: playing our best basketball late in the season.

The SEC didn't have a good day. UK, Tennessee and Auburn all lost. I don't know what to make of that league.

We just need to win the ones we're supposed to, and we should be a 1 seed.

My complaint about that play was that I thought Larson? Should have gone another few steps toward the baseline then passed to Boswell. I felt that would have made the defender move a bit farther to close on Boz and it would have let Boz get closer to the arc to take the shot.
But, all that is great from my couch.

Also how small is that visitor's locker room?

Tommy is just a fun coach that doesn't get to high or to low. He is not afraid to lose in the preseason and I bet he was on the phone with Few after the Zags HUGE win also. He always gives credit to the opponents win or lose. No excuses should be his motto.

I realize ASU has a home game Wednesday with Oregon St, but I'll do this now and assume the Beavers won't completely invalidate it in one game. ASU went 2-4 non-conference in significant games, with nothing particular of note. Wins over Vandy and SMU, losses to Mississippi St, BYU, Northwestern, and TCU. In league play, they started out 4-0, with a road sweep of the Bay Area schools, and a home sweep of the Mountain schools. But, since then: 2-7. Swept on the Oregon Trail, and in the home rematch with the Bay Area schools. They also lost at Washington, at home to UCLA, and most recently at Colorado. They beat USC at home and most recently won at Utah. Team Suitcase (7 transfers in their top 10 players) is pretty quick. Leading scorer Frankie Collins has 72 steals. They live and die by the three, but they haven't been nearly as consistent as, say, Stanford.

Well they will always have a puncher's chance and it is not like we have dominated the lower teams in this conference. In fact we have lost to some. There will always be a chance that they make shots they normally wouldn't and heave a 3/4 court shot for a victory. If we play defense like we can we should win easily but rivalry games are always a toss up no matter what the line is or the prognosticators say.

Stay focused and it is time to win the conference.

So Conrad Martinez…. He did not look out of place on the court last night.

He can certainly give us a couple minutes if need be. Seems like we will definitely be seeing him on the court next year

Orefon, Utah, and Colorado were a total 34-0 at home until Arizona showed up.

If this team comes out with something to prove, I think they are a top tier team for sure.

He looked great in the time he got, no doubt. Quick on drives to the hoop, pesky defender, looking to create for others.

Isn't there a trophy for winning the Play-In Game? (Actually I don't think ASU has ever actually won a play-in game)
