Great article in the New York Times about Lute's legacy in the NBA. Enjoy.

He is already in it.

He's being re-inducted.

Pascoe has an article up about it here:

It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

The College Basketball Hall of Fame used to basically be a list of great players/coaches. It's become a little more official the last 3 or 4 years. The guys they used to just list like Lute are being given their ceremonies now.

Donnel Harris looking to see who’s got the weed.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Lute Olson Fantasy Basketball Camp

The majority of this group came in for the Lute Olson Fantasy Basketball Camp this weekend. Front row (L to R): Matt Muehlebach, Reggie Geary, Lute, Bennett Davison. Second Row: Joe Turner, Kyle Fogg, Craig McMillan, Ben Davis, AJ Bramlett, Matt Brase, Corey Williams, Donnell Harris, Pete Williams and Salim Stoudamire

Looks like many of them could still take on the best Rec Center team and stomp them.

Man I miss Salim. Remember how unstoppable he was at times? Just a lights out shooter.

At first glance I thought Keegan-Micheal Key had photo-bombed in with a spot-on Donnell/Shady Landlord impression!

Speaking of Donnell, the dude came up big against Kentucky in between the puff 'n stuff!

Rewatched this game in its entirety recently. Simon was nails. Arguably the greatest and most significant performance ever by an AZ player. The whole team played well, but Simon was on another level.

IIRC, Simon scored all of the OT points?
And all were free throws?

Davison and Harris also scored in OT.
