Still has until May 1st though.
Grad transfer maybe? Not sure either
Excuse my ignorance on this, but doesn't this assume that Love is graduating this year? Just because he's in year 4 or 5 of his NCAA career, it doesn't mean his academic class standing is "senior." Or does it? I don't know what the academic requirement is for a student-athlete making progress towards a degree.
I'm not sure either, I believe you do have to have completed your degree to be considered a grad transfer.

Solid pickup.

We will need a banger at the 4 playing in the Big12

Does this impact Henri? Will Tobe have 2 years eligibility or 3?

I think his minutes just went down.

Henri needs some serious weight/muscle gain in the offseason to be competitive.

His freshman-sophomore jump was non-existent.

I think you will see Henri at the 4 with this guy playing the 5 at times. Henri can shoot and so this sets up an interesting high/low combination.

Henri is a 4. He has to earn minutes, but I was told last fall, after Henri was hurt, that Lloyd still really likes his skill set. Up to Henri if he wants to take advantage of it.

Henri's minutes will be decided by Henri I would assume. He did himself no favors last season getting injured.

I hope he plays well and slots into the normal rotation all things said though, everyone loves a big guy that can shoot.

Honestly, I'm surprised that Henri didn't transfer so I'm guessing that he is hearing good things from CTL. I would love to hear what CTL's vision is for each guy and the team overall.

Does Henri have it in him to be Lauri? Seems like there’s some similarities between the two players.

Think many folks here are assuming Awaka is a 4 on account of his size.

Appears in terms of transfers we have landed a 4 in a 3s frame and a 5 in a 4s frame. Will be interested to see how Lloyd employs these gentlemen.

One new experience we'll be having during the 2024-25 season that's going to feel weird: starting the season ranked behind several others in our conference. I mean, we weren't *always* the highest ranked Pac team in the preseason, but it happened a LOT. And if we weren't the highest, we were probably second highest.

How about being the FIFTH highest?!

That's why I really enjoyed winning the final Pac 12 regular season title. Winning the Big 12 will be a very rare treat.

Arizona better not perennially enter the season as the 5th highest ranked B12 team. If that occurs without some elite NCAAT success to offset it we have problems. Once every 5 or so seasons, fine, but the rest Arizona should be 1 or 2, or at the worst 3rd. This is a quasiblueblood program entering the B12. No one other than Kansas enjoys a loftier perch. The B12 is a deep conference but lacks staying power beyond Kansas at the top/elite level. Don’t lose sight of that fact. Preparing for more conference losses is one thing, but not being the 5th best program in the conference. That would be an abject failure.

If I go to ESPN, I see:
1. Houston
2. Kansas
3. Iowa State
5. Baylor
9. Arizona

That's pretty good in my mind. I just want to get to a ff every 5 years or so

Oh man. I had to release the “every 5 years or so” fantasy long ago.

The last time we were in a Final Four, there were no iPhones, social media, Netflix, or “Pac 12.”

I’ll be happy if we get there again before I die.

I have now given up complete hope of the UA getting a sole conference championship in my lifetime. Heck, my dad who is 90 was a kid the last sole UA football conference championship. Cats oh fer WAC, and oh fer PAC.

It has been a longer period of time between the last UA FF and today than the debut of MTV and the last FF.

Wow, Merk. That's some lousy AZ sports luck!

It's crazy how this all puts in perspective just how freakishly lucky some of us were to be at college in the mid-late 90s/early 00s, when Arizona hoops was basically in its "golden era."

I used to see Luke and RJ walking around campus. What a time to be alive.

Sure, I agree, and it's still early, and 9th is significantly better than 24th.

But ... Houston is a single-coach Johnny Come Lately and so is ISU. Baylor has only recently elevated to say top 10 status after > 20 seasons in the desert under Drew, and has slipped back some since their F4 run. Arizona should not be consistently ranked and finishing behind those programs (nor anyone else in the conference not named Kansas).

If we are the current staff is failing.

There is a difference between being a perennial top 10 team, which Arizona should be regardless of conference, and getting to the F4 every 5 years.

Same. When Sean Miller canceled the UNC series, Miller said he did it because his teams couldn't compete with UNC and would reschedule when they could, which never happened.

At least they need to be honest about it.

Flashback to having the Trident opened up for us at about 8 am prior to an approximate 10:00 am Arizona - UNC tipoff. Get to our seats a bit saucy and totally fired up. Only to have the Tar Heels put an epic beatdown on the Cats with memory saying the game was over in 5 minutes. Not a fan of Miller's OOC at all scheduling but I feel him on this one.

Wondering if this is partly based on the quality of the 2 teams or what Lloyd thinks of the B12 IC SOS c/w the Pac's.

Hoping its the latter.

Scheer also said this, which has me VERY curious what the final schedule will end up looking like. Sounds like quite a few changes are in store.

Not sure why Purdue wouldn't move the game to McKale in order to make the UA 18 game minimum.

I imagine UCLA is willing to do home and homes, since it would be an automatic sellout in Pauley.

Playing Arizona would have to be forced down Cronin's throat, especially at McKale.
