38 Days Coach Brett Brennan

Coach Brennan is starting his first year at his dream job, now we just have to wait and see if he is our dream hire. He is starting his 29th year in coaching and his 8th year as a head coach. Brennan worked both at Arizona and San Jose State for Dick Tomey who was a huge influence on his coaching style. Team, Family, do the work.

Brennan is not flashy, and I also wonder if he is too nice to be a top tier coach. On the plus side, he won at San Jose State with almost no resources, he loves Tucson and he quickly won over the players left by a flashy, self-promoting, cutthroat coach. If Brennan can consistently win we may have won the coaching lottery. Well, 38 days until we Beardown and start to find out.

Arizona started last year with a 38-3 win over NAU and finished the season with a 38-24 victory over Oklahoma.

Let the new era begin!
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Always have wondered if any other schools reached out to CBB to gauge his interest in moving. Winning st SJST like he did was very difficult given their limited resources.

His evaluation skills and that of his staff seem very good. He also seems to promote great loyalty from his staff which is a great sign.

If he has a great year this season (at least 9 wins), I think we can establish ourselves as a XII football blue blood as I believe he will recruit well enough and develop well enough to be consistently near the top

At 51 too a good age. Good trajectory there at SJSU.

I think most UA fans would be happy with consistent 7+ win seasons after the disasters we have been through.

My podcast app says CBB was on Jim Rome today. Just downloaded but haven't had a chance to listen.

Anybody catch it that can give some highlights?
