Yes - fUcla had a non-shutout streak going that lived for quite some time. As in decades. I recall that game against them in Arizona Stadium in the early 90s where they were being shut out and opted for a late field goal to preserve their streak. We had a non-shutout streak too, it was long but not as long as theirs. Ours ended in the Aloha Bowl on Dec 25, 1990 against Syracuse.

The only thing that came out of this season was Tmac breaking the record and I would argue the players managed to do that in spite of the coaches.
