What's really sad is that ASU lost at home to a team who just got smoked by Quinnipiac.
Losing to Lehigh (wherever that is, some overpriced private eastern school?) at home is a dreadful, DREADFUL loss for even ASU.
Sendek can get away with plenty, but not THAT.

Sendek could send out a squad full of donkey show rejects to shave points and still might not get fired.
My theory? He's using his patented PowerPoint presentations to hypnotize people in the AD.
"You're getting sleeeeeeppppppyyyyyy. You don't notice our recorrrddddd..... You want to give me an extensionnnnnnnnnnn...."
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Seems like whatever expectations the ASU brass enforce on Sendek he goes out and just barely performs below them, as if he's daring them to fire him. Every year. They are giving him an automatic 1-year extension for winning only 20 games and he won't even be able to manage that this year. That's more of a cakewalk than Mike Riley's similar auto-extension for qualifying for a bowl. You can schedule 20 wins.

The best part of that loss was that it took three overtimes.
“The reality is that the hardest games to win are over teams on their home court. Teams that don’t play those games can spin it however they want, but what they’re saying is, ‘We don’t want to lose in our non conference season.’" - Sean Miller
GeoWash out muscled Colorado down the stretch. Colorado shouldn't look so frail and limpid as the games drags on.

Not sure what to make of that Furd win. Texas overrated? Furd did have a nice recruiting class, are they just finding themselves?

We have a common opponent this year in UNLV. I can't remember, did you all beat that patsy? We'll get our chance soon.

5 Arizona
13 Washington
16 Utah
31 Cal
61 Stanford
74 Oregon
88 Arizona State
94 UCLA
100 USC
110 Colorado
124 Oregon State
185 Washington State
Those numbers after the first four teams or so are pretty amazing. UCLA 94 and Colorado 110 are so off the chart bad it's tough to know what to say. Even Oregon at 74 and Furd (supposed to be something this year) at 61, a couple teams that have historically put together some ok fringe top 25 teams, are pretty horrible.
The conference looks so bad that dog shit Arizona State could compete for fifth in the PAC.

First Pac 12 conference game is in the books. Stanford played a day game against Washington state today and won 71-56. 3 more games tonight (Washington @ cal, ucla @Colorado, usc @utah)
Going with the home sweeps with cal, utah and Colorado winning.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
This kinda feels like a big, early season test for UW: they're getting a decent chance on the road at Cal to show that they're a more legit top 25 team. Big opportunity for them.
Also Colorado (real time rpi in triple digits last I checked) is a 5 point favorite over UCLA in Boulder. So, so bad.
