I still want to know why those first two rows of BYU students are dressed as Smurfs.

Love the maturity he showed after picking up that third foul.

I think it's the basket on that half. Arizona had a lot of in and out shots first half too.

Yeah I like the timeout there. We were getting too lackadaisical.

Our defensive pressure did wear them out. You could see it on their 3's. Shout out to Tobey who kept us in there in the first half.

I would like some credit for his second half spurt. Had like 2 points when I posted. JB got back to doing JB things and was the difference in the second half. The other thing I will say is every time BYU got some mo, Caleb hit a huge shot. Put the fire out on the BYU run and the crowd.

I like that each player is ready to take and make a big shot. Love's 3 when BYU took a lead was clutch. But it was Jaden's corner 3 that turned out to be the dagger!

Great game plan too. When playing a great 3-point shooting team, run them ragged when they play D, and run them off the 3-point line. Even if that means giving up a few lay-ups. We did exactly that, and by the time the clock hit the under 8 T/O, BYU's legs were gone. Didn't hit another 3-pointer until the last shot of the game, when the game was long over. Good coaching. Better execution.

So what do you know…this team is now playing lights out after the 8:00 mark of the second half.

Maybe the formula is weathering through Townsend and ADO’s minutes before we can kick it into the next gear?

Such a funny game. As CTL said in the presser sometimes the players outperform the coaching.

You got it! And it comes in the form of a free foot-long sub from Subway!

Just head into your local franchise, place your order, then when you get to the register, grab your food, give em a wink, tell them “Chicat says it’s cool” and stroll on out. Congrats and enjoy!

I’m watching the game at lunch today because I had a very early start to my work day.

Tobe is impressive. He doesn’t settle for bad positioning or bad shots. He looks confident hitting that free throw line jumper, which gives defenses another weapon to consider.

I’m happy that Tommy has gotten the team to play hard in spite of their lackluster shooting percentage.

So last night Seth Greenburg made the prediction that Texas Tech was final four good. Hopefully that is true. We have a huge games Saturday but I am happy with the way the guys have mesh together but the team still lacks a reliable outside shooter that can defend consistently. I thought Carter was that answer but he plays very spotted defense as well. Will get better but right now goes for the incredible play not playing with position. Causes him to foul to much. Learning but was pretty bad at BYU but early to tell where he will be at year end.

I thought Carter’s three point defense early was solid, but BYU kept catching him by surprise with shot fakes and dribble drives. Then after picking up a few fouls he looked gun shy and hesitant to use his body to cut off driving lanes so it all kind of fell apart but that’s going to happen to Freshmen from time to time, especially in hostile environments.
