The moment Veesar went out we stopped attacking the basket.

That was a rough stretch once HV picked up his 3rd - that’s a place it really hurts not having Krivas or someone else with size like Stephen

We don't have the roster to handle Veesar being off the court.

This was one we should have won - our team just ran out of gas and started missing FT AND taking bad shots

Is one is fully on missing free throws and Love taking stupid shots when we had some momentum.

We played great for 35 minutes... just that 1 stretch when Houston went on their run.

Well crap, hard fought game!
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Hard fought on defense - offense just can’t play a full 40 vs top level teams

We can't continue to play only 6 deep in the 2nd half if we want to avoid similar finishes

Yeah, would have been nice to let JB and CL get a breather in the second, especially when we had that lead. Just to have fresher legs at the end.

Also, at the rate they were calling fouls, Veesar should have stayed in after his 3rd.

Re: (M) Game Houston at Arizona 2024/2025
It was a well played game we just fell short. Thought Tommy had a great game plan to deal with their pressure. Was really surprised we were able to out rebound them. The only problem was only two points on our offensive rebounds. Surprised Tobey held to zero points. Need to get a great shooter from the portal that can also handle the ball well. Tough loss and broke a stream of non consecutive losses that was in the 70's with the next best team in the 40's.
Re: (M) Game Houston at Arizona 2024/2025
The missed throws in the last 3 minutes were brutal. Could have been the difference.

Was at the game and saw Pasch was sitting next to Bill's chair. Was there any mention of this on air?

Thanks. I'll have to rewatch that part of the game. Would've been weird if they never mentioned his chair this year.Alieberman wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 3:53 pmYes- they had a little feature on it. Was a nice little spot about Walton/Pasch with Fran even poking some fun at a game he and Pasch did when Walton wasn’t on call

Re: (M) Game Houston at Arizona 2024/2025
What was Fran saying about Walton's last college game was at McKale?
I probably heard it wrong, since that was only the semis which UCLA won.

Fran really needs to clarify what he meant.
Bill Walton's final broadcast was the Washington State vs. Oregon game on February 10, 2024. The game was part of the Pac-12 Conference.
