Someone's gotta play 3B too and I'm playing Devyn Netz at DP all year long, even when she's pitching. We lost a lot of power with Skaggs, Scupin, and Dinardo gone. We need as much as we can get in that lineup.

Opening day as the Cats play two against Michigan State. Hitting should not be the problem. The pitching, as usual, is the big question. Lowe has said she will be going with a pitching committee. I wonder how Devyn will look after missing last year and intrigued to see if Maddox is the real deal or not. I hope one of the several pitchers they have can step up and be a number one starter.

Game 2 was not pretty, but it's a win. You can see Kavanagh is a special player.

Didn't catch the first game, but the second game is having all sorts of technical issues. It's buffering like crazy and even crashed at one point, showing someone's windows screen for a few minutes while the stream rebooted. Seriously worse quality than the Pac 12 ever had.

The announcer also sounds like he's about to fall asleep.

Netz has given up 4 homers in two outings. If she continues to struggle, Lowe might have to make a tough decision whether to continue to pitch her or just let her concentrate on hitting.

Cats beat #11 Alabama 9-1 in five. Looks like Stoddard is making a claim to be the #1 starter. Cats are now 4-1 and face Washington tomorrow. Maybe they can get some revenge from yesterday loss.

It was. Almost every game we play will be on ESPN+. Same with Baseball.

In all, Stoddard went 6-for-6 with four home runs, a triple (that bounced off the outfield wall), seven RBI, and a walk on her seventh at-bat.

Stoddard hit another homer today, giving her 5 home runs in the last 24 hours. It's crazy that she only batted once last year. Also, with Kennedy out due to a finger injury, Miranda's bat along with Dimler has provided a lot of offense to the line-up.

According to Lowe, Dakota has been throwing, so it sounds like it won't be too long. Would be nice to have her available when they play Texas next Saturday.

Really weird game today.

LMU has not hit the ball hard at all except for one mistake form stoddard in the first inning. Really poor defensive decisions from the cats and leaving runners on have hurt them tonight.

Cats beat #23 San Diego State 11-3. They went 6-0 this week and now open conference play at home against UCF.
