Read this thread. I guess the station was a bad environment for a lot of employees and Rich made it worse.
His show was pretty bad, too.
He also had a twitter feud with Sheer.

Rich wasn't even physically in Tucson when he was doing the show.

I know he wasn’t at first, but I believe he was here eventually. There are pics in this thread of him broadcasting at Dragoon Brewery and another of the show being live streamed that says it’s here. I also thought I remember him saying he finally moved to town.
Also, if you read Mike Luke’s letter on previous page, he talks about in person interactions with Rich.

But I could be mistaken.

Their parent company, ALLCITY, laid off a bunch of people across all their brands right before Christmas, wasn't limited to PHNX or Mike Luke

Luke could do himself several favors and improve by:
1. Doing some preparation and research once in a while. Present stats more than just opinions. Maybe even do some analysis.
2. Try to gather his thoughts before speaking. The guy's speech patterns are tough to take sometimes. Maybe have better notes?
3. Don't eat during a segment. Soo unprofessional. This, combined with his scattered speech, is just awful.
4. Try to cultivate some sources. He doesn't really seem to have any.

He seems like a nice guy and I hope for his success but without Scheer, his casts would be pretty much worthless. A couple of his other guests bring much more to the table than Luke ever does as they seem to do some homework once in a while.

Hope he improves.

Glad he has daily UofA content but he is really hard to listen to. He is a real amateur that somehow got on radio. All the things you said above are spot on IMO.

I liked Luke as Woodman's sidekick. Didn't really like it when he did the show solo. As you all have said, he didn't seem like a professional.

Not really a fan of his stuff overall, think Carcassdragger covered many of the issues I've got with the production.

Hope that he figures it out and improves, having more UofA content is always good.

Listening to Mike's show, I do not know why he keeps saying certain players suck. He talks about backing the A but most of the time he is ripping players and coaches. Mike seems like a good guy but he needs to act more professionally if he wants his show to succeed. If he continues to put players and coaches down, I can see listeners turning away due to the negativity.

IMNSHO, any so-called Arizona "fan" who "keeps saying certain players suck" - anywhere: on the radio, TV, boards, to my face) is an asshole who has not learned the meaning of "Bear Down".

It is possible to be honest and call balls and strikes without attacking and saying people suck

Well, not for nothing, knowing you’re here and active is definitely a huge win for BDW. I have openly mentioned you and your points a number of times in your absence.

People were/are mad at me because I am holding Tommy accountable for his abjectly awful prep recruiting. It’s become a bit of a meme, but, not shockingly, I’m often battling Mike (and even sometimes Jason) on this. They don’t like my hyperbole, but even Jason admits I’m correct in both approach and process analysis.

Whatever Tommy is as a coach and developer isn’t enough to overcome how bad his prep recruiting is, specifically his approach, and it pisses me off.

Mike is always quick to try and chide me.

Glad to see you here. I need to reprioritize some things to post more here.

This has also become a meme, where ai passively aggressively praise him for a negative turned positive sarcastically, like this week was a great week for several Wildcats in NBA. Ayton wasn’t included. So I included him because “great for Ayton is this injury that will now allow him to pursue his passion of video games 24/7 for the next month.

Well that’s fucked up. VERY surprised Jason doesn’t police that shit. Back in the day when I had an AD source and told Gershon and Scheer a few things that could be hinted at but not fully told until the time was right they stuck to it to the letter.

Wildcat Country is really good

Wildcat Radio is fine

Wildcast has really fallen off recently. Even though Lev is great, the podcasts are too inconsistent and Spears continues to do what Spears does. I know he is a good guy but always making mistakes and not looking stuff up is so annoying and ruins the podcast

Never interact with coaches, players, family unless you are congratulating.

There’s no upside otherwise.

Opposing fans? Combative Media? They get the full FU experience.

Everyone else, all professional all the time.

Rule I used, especially during my kid’s lacrosse games, “everything that comes out of your mouth is positive, never coach”.

Still use the former at Cats games.
