Death Valley?

Post by Carcassdragger »

Thinking about taking the camper rig for a 4 day or so trip to Death Valley-just because I've never been there. I live in a low desert, so I'm not sure it'd turn me on that much. Anybody been there? Recommend-or find something else to do?

Only thing I am aware of is it now blooming season there so a good time to go.

Although people do go in the middle of the summer just to endure the extreme heat for a few seconds.

The skeptics podcast I listen to took a whole tour of listeners there last year. Here's the itinerary for their trip:

Consider visiting the area of Hwy 395 west of DV around Bishop. That front range is monster. The Methuselah tree is nearby east of Bishop. I didn't get to it as my wife wanted to head home. But the drive south on 395 was wonderful.
