Here's the final play. We call timeout to advance the ball, and then do... whatever the hell this is.

Trying to get the ball inside? But lost the clock and failed even to jack up any kind of a shot whatsoever. SMDH

I don't think Auburn will want a coach who lost twice to NAU in the same year.

So sick of the endless drama.

Injuries or not, losing twice in one year to NAU, when you even got a return game at McKale, is unacceptable. Geez, all I ever did was some (fill-in) coaching of 8th grade CYO-league basketball, and even I would have said, "get it down low, but do it quick, get up a shot or draw a foul, and give yourself time for a put-back." Or, just "somebody jack up a shot and everybody go for the rebound." I think we all get that Adia's primarily a recruiter, and we probably won't soon again see a talent like Aari. But we don't seem as well conditioned as some of the teams we play, we seem to have to clean house too often over attitude issues of her own recruited players, and (obviously) we don't play smart. I'm pretty disgusted over this one. Despite my earlier comments about attendance and money, whatever happens next is okay with me.

I just don't see how the AD can justify an extension after what happened. We're not a well coached team, and there's always some chemistry issues at hand as well. That's never a recipe for success.

Arizona has the 10th highest attendance in D1. Adia deserves a lot of credit for that...
... it seems the most oftcited shortcoming of any Arizona coach around here is that "he/she doesn't get to the big game" (Final Four, College World Series, etc.), but Adia has done it! If anyone deserves loyalty, it's gotta be Adia!!!
And, BTW, she's exceeded the accomplishments of ANY other women's bb coach at Arizona!

Besides attendance, everything you’ve cited here is from years ago. Are we supposed to let Adia run the program into the ground forever because she got to one Final Four & Championship game? At what point do we get to judge her on what she’s done recently? Because Aari ain’t walking back into McKale to carry us on another deep tourney run. At some point it has to be about the program we have now, not back in the day.pc in NM wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 11:56 am Arizona has the 10th highest attendance in D1. Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

The optics of Adia's post game presser where she basically said they didn't want to be there because it wasn't the big dance doesn't look great either. I don't remember what Miller said during our NIT year, but there's no way he flat out said they didn't want to be there.
