I'm having a difficult time figuring out which one is Purdue.
right? boilermakers with a big middle finger to the transfer portal. iirc, they don't have any transfers at all on their team, and most of their players were regional recruits. seems like a huge anomaly in modern d1 mbb.
Well fuck. He was super frustrating at times but his defense was top notch.

Georgetown would be a head scratcher.
Unless there’s something behind the scenes we don’t know about incoming players or unexpected ppl staying (CB). Maybe CB coming back and wants to play the 3 and Burries coming in at the 2
Must want a bigger role I guess. Seems every kid who is destined to be in college for 4 years needs to move st least one time to cash in.
Still I wonder why abd what he knows or thinks. Really going to miss him.

Burries wouldn't play the 3 anyways right? He's only 6'2.
I meant more like maybe KJ knows Carter wants to return ( and he’d play more minutes at the 3 with Peat here) and if burries comes then he wouldn’t be a starter at the 2 either
All just conjecture on my part of course - he may just be looking for a starting role somewhere and CTL said it was TBD

That’s what I was thinking. That he would play the 2 but Burries is coming in at that spot.

NCAA Tournament Team Loses Entire Starting Lineup to Transfer Portal
By Matt Wadleigh
The college basketball transfer portal opened on Monday, hours after the Sweet 16 field was finalized.
It didn't take long for players to jump in, and over 1,150 players entered during the first two days.
One notable entry is freshman Justin Pippen, who filed the paperwork despite his team, the Michigan Wolverines, being in the Sweet 16 as a No. 5 seed.
While there are a sea of players in the portal, one NCAA Tournament team has lost its entire starting lineup as of Friday. That team is Robert Morris, which was a No. 15 seed and lost to No. 2 Alabama in the round of 64.
Robert Morris Colonials head coach Andrew Toole.
Entering Friday, Robert Morris had already seen Kam Woods, Josh Omojafo, Alvaro Folgueiras and Amarion Dickerson enter the portal.
Then, D.J. Smith entered, per Adam Borst of Robert Morris Sports Now.
"All five of the Robert Morris starters from its Horizon League Championship team are now in the transfer portal as guard D.J. Smith entered on Friday," Borst wrote.

That seems contrary to the fact that he had a starting role and asked to come off the bench here. College basketball will now be a transactional relationship based on what the player can get vs your need for their services and it will have a price. Supposedly paying Dent $3M (what was termed life changing money) in NIL because UCLA needed a pg. is an example. Unlikely Dent will play in the NBA because of his stature but it was a need that UCLA felt it had and paid to fill it.
College basketball like pro sports is soon going to require a cap manager to get the most bang for the buck. Sad it has come down to this but it is the new reality.

It’s not contrary assuming my what if is true.
KJ isn’t better than Carter at the 3, and wouldn’t likely be better than Burries at the 2 - so he would be coming off the bench most likely. He might want a guaranteed starting role this year.
I agree it is a different world now with the amount of money being tossed around with NIL

Indiana's ENTIRE team has either left because of graduation or the portal. The ENTIRE team.
It's really sad what NIL has done to the sport.

Don’t forget that their coach is quitting and that they had like 9-10 seniors. NIL or no NIL, they were going to do a complete overhaul.

I honestly forgot their coach quit. That explains it then.
