I don't know what it is about GCU, but they really seem to have our number.

Hope we're more prepared for ASU on Friday.

Been playing like dog doo lately. Nothing good, hitting or pitching. Left to many on base last night but giving up 11 runs will not win any games.

Meanwhile ASSU has moved into D1’s top 25 so hopefully we can burst their bubble and win the series and get a point for the T Cup

We're definitely in a funk without Summerhill. Without really looking into it, I was tempted to say GCU does really well in Tuesday games when we're saving our weekend pitchers. But, they've played a fairly tough schedule themselves. And the game was somewhat in doubt until they shelled Pluta in the 8th. I know it's kind of nice to sort of casually slot them into Tuesday games, and I gather they've been pretty accommodating with scheduling. But, just as they've improved in hoops, they've come along in baseball. So, I don't know if it's really desirable or not, but maybe the time has come to play them home-and-home in alternating years in three-game weekend series.

Cats beat the scum 8-5 tonight. Down 4-1 and we got 4 to take the lead. Devils tied it up but we got 3 in the 7th to basically close it out. Need this series bad

Very cool! Maddox Mihalakis with a HR, SB, and 4 RBI, Aaron Walton with a HR, Casey Hintz gets the win in relief, and Garrett Hicks gets a save. It was ASU's biggest crowd at Muni since moving there. And the Cats have clinched at least a tie in the regular season series, with two chances to win it, or to even get the sweep.

I would not be opposed to moving our Friday guy(McKinney) to Saturday and sliding Kromkowski to Sunday and moving Smith Bailey to Friday.

Bailey has the best stuff of the three and seems to go deeper more often. Those short Friday stints McKinney is giving us is taxing the staff

Bummer way to end a good series, losing 8-4 after giving our pitchers a 4 run lead.

Good thing is we only have one series left vs the top 5 teams in the conference. If we play like we can we should grab most of those series and fatten our record

It was a very disappointing loss if you watched it. We struggled in the field and made some boneheaded plays out there. Lost a ball in the lights and wasted our Friday night guys best outing of the season.

Their guy had been clobbered by left handed hitters our our lefties went 0-17. We only mustered 3 hits, all by Walton and just never hit anything going.

We should've put the game away in the top of the 9th, but we walk it off in the bottom of the inning to take the series!

Now if our bats could just wake up a little earlier in the game.

Guzman hitting into a DP at a bad time, but Mihalakis with the two-out walk-off single to bring in Walton from third. Cain went 3-3 with a triple and a couple of RBI. Bailey went 5.0 IP with 6H and 3 ER. Hicks went 4.0 IP with 3H and 1 ER.

Will be nice getting Summerhill back. It may take him some time to get back into the groove. We've gone 8-5 overall and won 2 of the 3 conference series since he went down and are still ranked, so good on the guys for holding down the fort in his absence.

We have road series wins vs both West Virginia and ASSU, two of the top 5 schools. We have a home series loss vs a middle of the road Baylor team. Our schedule softens up this week as we go to last place BYU so we really need a sweep or at worst another series road win

Good win but they are a pretty pedestrian team and we struggled in every game. Hopefully with Summerhill coming back we can be a bit more explosive.

Bark at the park this Tuesday then off to Lubbock to play Texas Tech. Back to back road trips

Considering the loss of Summerhill, I'm pretty satisfied with how they've done. I'd love to wallop and sweep every team with a sub .500 league record, even on the road, but we're just not that dominant team. It was COLD in Provo, and they're obviously more used to that. 3 series errors on the Cats. I also think BYU gets up for us. Maybe it's their media playing-up our student section chants at their teams during home football or basketball games. Whatever.

White had a great series, hitting .428 with 2 HRs.

So we've got the roadie at TT, TCU, Utah, and finish up at Houston. Except the big series with TCU at Hi Corbett, the other three are all sub-.500 in conference.

Meanwhile, what is the deal with West Virginia? They've played a cake non-conference schedule (1 loss.) Their 3 total conference losses are 2 to us, and 1 at Provo. 2 games at Oklahoma St were rained out, and they've led a charmed life with their conference schedule draw to date.
They're left with a roadie at UCF, TT, at K-State, and Kansas.

Should be an interesting ride down the stretch.

No one would ever convince me that the conference didn’t do its best to make sure the new PAC 12 Four didn’t win the conference in the big three sports.

The unbalanced schedule really makes it tough to even the SOS between contenders. West Virginia by far has played the easiest schedule and we have played the toughest.

Oh well, it’s all about hosting a regional and winning a regional as the next step in the Chip Hale era

Huge series tonight with TCU as both teams are battling to host a regional. They have a slightly higher RPI after we dropped the series to Tech. They are also one game ahead of us in the standings (no one will catch WVU).

We are moving Kramkowski (our Saturday night guy) up ahead of McKinney. He has better stuff and has pitched very well this year do hopefully we get a quality outing and the bats come alive.

Summerhill could be on the 30 man roster for pinch hitting duties so that would be a plus. Let’s pack the juice box.

Huge opening night win last night 6-3. Aaron Walton who we got from Stanford hit two dingers and Kramkowski went 5 innings but didn’t get the win. We moved up 4 spots in the RPI to 21 and TCU is at 19. Need this series
