Anyone who has their boarding pass printed at bag check.

Yeah I was gonna say...every airline that I'm aware of. I'm apparently weird because I always make sure to have the boarding pass on my phone and the paper one.

Took the Airbus A380 back from London and got moved to the upper level because our entertainment systems in our seats weren’t working.

Could’ve easily taken out 50 seats and made it a lounge and bar. Especially since the plane was like 1/10th full.

Melbourne's Airport just got approval for a new (the third) runway over years of objections by local residents.

The bets are on for which opens first, the 3rd runway or the recently approved train line. The airport train has been demanded by 'everyone' for over 50 years and has been an issue in every damn state election for the 40 years since I've been here. The final argument came down to where to put the station. The government wants the station on the surface, the airport wants it underground, where to me at least makes more sense. The airport wants to ensure they have space to develop hotels and what not and to keep the parking revenue. I don't care about that part, I just think they would have a more straight forward access in all directions if they put it underground. Anyway the airport finally conceded and "in theory" there are no more obstacles, but now they are back to arguing about the route and which needful suburbs are going to get the new stations.

ITS F#$%ing ridiculous. Just start digging will you!?!

Last week my flight to Honolulu routed through Maui for a 4-hour layover. Great mid-sized airport with an open-air central square for shopping and dining. For as stressful and tiring as travel can be, disembarking a plane in Hawaii makes up for being cramped on a 5 or 6 hour flight from the Mainland, soon you inhale that ocean-salted Pacific air.

CatsbyAZ wrote: Mon May 29, 2023 9:44 am From Midway's website: "The first significant upgrade to Midway International Airport’s concessions program in nearly 20 years will deliver new local offerings, national brands, new healthy options and expanded retail offerings by 2020. Total concessions area will increase from 44,000 square feet to 70,000 square feet. When done, this program will include 37 food and beverage locations, 37 retail locations featuring more than 50 new brands to the airport, and making food and shopping available in all concourses. To construct an expansion and renovation of all new and existing concessions locations, Midway Partnership LLC is investing $75 million. The redevelopment program will double the number of concessions jobs from 700 to 1,400."
Anyone fly through Midway lately? Last Friday was my first trip through since the central food court was revamped with a large offering of famed Chicago fare. Billy Goat Tavern, Nuts on Clark, Harry Caray’s Shortstop bar, White Sox Bar & Grill, Garrett Popcorn, The Orange Line, Hubbard Inn restaurant.

No more McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Chic-Fil-A (but there is a Dunkin left), meaning their value menus are replaced by $18 Cheeseburgers and $10 Pilsners.
