2025 Los Angeles Rams
The Future Is Bright
The Rams have had seven players named to the All-Rookie team in the past two seasons, the most by any team since 2000.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
6 draft picks (and another first rounder too!) plus $46M in Cap space means they can continue to build depth.
Need to resign Witherspoon, Jackson and Robinson.
Positions of need are OLine, Inside backers, and a few more weapons for Stafford.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have given Stafford’s agent permission to seek a trade which I 100% do not understand.
We have a team built to go to the playoffs every year for at least the next 3 and you’re going to let your QB who is still absolutely in the top-10 of the league walk to replace him with… who??
There are no free agent QBs in Stafford’s league and this draft class doesn’t have a ready-made guy who can step right in. So what is the plan here? Are we going from “fuck them picks” to “lets stockpile for 2026”?
I think the Rams front office is the absolute best in the league hands down, and I would let McVay raise both my kids, but I do not get the thought process here. Please do not let Stafford go.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
100% agree Chi.
I know they need to think about the future but Stafford has at least 2 top flight years in him. The team is young and talented with several burgeoning stars. Getting Stafford some more weapons and solidifying both lines as well as LB should be their priority in this offseason.
And I wouldn’t be too excited about a Kirk Cousins plug in play. I know he and McVay have a history but his recent resume doesn’t jump off the table.
Stafford restructured his contract last year for the team so the Rams need to step up and do the right thing now!

Good. Because I was not looking forward to the Jimmy Garapolo era.
With the new salary cap there was no reason he shouldn’t be back. Very happy they got this done.

NEWS: The Rams are re-signing QB Jimmy Garoppolo to a one-year, $11 million deal, a source tells @diannarussini.bsky.social.

Is Davonte Adams the new OBJ?
Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
That’s my hope. Maybe he’ll find that McVay magic.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
Rams have told Cooper Kupp that he will be released this week.
Not sure why they can’t try and renegotiate his deal and keep him. Getting absolutely nothing for him is a travesty.

I don’t get it either. He’s still got a lot of value.
Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
Kupp to the Seachickens.
I doubt he’ll make any kind of impact there but I bet he’ll torch us twice a year.
Good luck Coop.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
$45M for 3 years? Not bad for a player who lost a step and hasn't played a full season since his MVP one.
And don't the Rams still owe him $20M?

Will miss him, played his heart out for this team.
Good luck Coop, except when you play the Rams.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
The Rams trade out of the first round and now have two 2026 first round picks which apparently will be a much stronger QB class.
McVay and Snead never stop.

Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
Plus more lower round picks this year to strengthen our overall depth especially on defense.
Love the move.
Love the move.
Re: 2025 Los Angeles Rams
Not a huge fan of giving up that compensatory pick but I look at it as trading up in next years draft because I’m guessing they are going to package those two firsts to move up from 32 (and wherever the Falcons land) after we win the Super Bowl.
And the best move was not drafting Jaxon Dart or Shadeur Sanders there at 26. We need guys who can put us over the top this year, not long term projects who may never pan out.

Love your optimism. I was taking a different tack and will hope the Falcons lose every game this year.Chicat wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:09 am Not a huge fan of giving up that compensatory pick but I look at it as trading up in next years draft because I’m guessing they are going to package those two firsts to move up from 32 (and wherever the Falcons land) after we win the Super Bowl.

I'm also very relieved they didn't pick Sanders or Dart. I don't think any of the QB's were first round worthy. Even Ward, who was stifled by the Arizona defense is not that impressive.
Still have 8 picks left in this year's draft so hoping we pull some more mid-round magic.

Got a TE in the 2nd round. Ferguson from Oregon.
With Kupp gone needed another target for Stafford.

Think Chi summed it up yesterday. Next years QB class is better and the Rams now have two first round picks.

I’m a slut for a Snead/McVay 5th rounder.
