That answers neither of my questions but thank you.
Yahoo lists her as a Center which makes much more sense.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

TTU's site lists her as a center.

Don't know how good any of these transfers will be but congrats to coach Burke for actually putting a team together so quickly.
I'm not going to judge anything on wins and losses next year

Re: Women's Transfer Palooza
After Adia ran things down and left the cupboard bare, Becky Burke essentially had to start a new program from scratch. Even Lute Olson in his first year inherited Brock Brunkhorst, Keith Jackson, Dave Haskin, Troy Cooke, and Ken Ensor. It was a terrible situation, but at least he had a few bodies and even got a couple of starters out of that group. Burke got exactly one player in Montaya Dew, and nobody knows her prognosis after the knee issue. Magot also has had knee issues. So, at the moment, in terms of known healthy players, we've got four guards and two 6-2 "posts." The women's transfer portal closed yesterday, so not sure what options remain. Maybe some JC players? In any event, she absolutely gets a pass in Year One. Any wins she gets should be considered a triumph of the human spirit.

The portal is "closed" to new entries - anyone already "in" may transfer....TheCatInTheHat wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 11:20 am After Adia ran things down and left the cupboard bare, Becky Burke essentially had to start a new program from scratch. That's good news for anyone desperate for a spot because we have plenty!

Re: Women's Transfer Palooza
It seems like the odds of getting any kind of additional game-changing "bigs" at this point from the portal are pretty slim. The proven upperclassmen either want more wins or more NIL money, and we're not that destination. I'm sure there's a frenzy for the two remaining from Wisconsin and Mississippi St. And without Salvo, I doubt we have any remaining in with Euros. I'm almost thinking the early Charli Turner-Thorne approach might be an idea while we're trying to build out the roster. You go after tough under-the-radar gals from more rural areas. They may not have such impressive athletic or ball skills, but if you can find length, grit, hustle, and sharp elbows, they can defend and board and you can let your guards do the scoring.

I saw this AM that 30% of eligible players have entered the Portal...TheCatInTheHat wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 12:27 pm It seems like the odds of getting any kind of additional game-changing "bigs" at this point from the portal are pretty slim. Burke Gets Her Miracle
You've got to be impressed by what Becky Burke has done. Adia Barnes left her a completely gutted program, and she re-built it with close to a full roster and a coaching staff in a matter of weeks. I didn't think she was likely to get any more impact bigs. Wrong, as she flipped 6-3 Ogheneruona Miracle from Auburn after their coaching change. She's only a freshman, but she sounds like an impact freshman. That was my biggest concern, but Burke also grabbed UCSD's very nice veteran guard Sumayah Sugapong, 6-1 freshman forward Daniah Trammell, and freshman point guard Molly Ladwig. No idea how competitive they can be in the Big XII, but I'd guess they'll at least be reasonably respectable, and I don't think anyone could have hoped for or expected more than that.
Re: Women's Transfer Palooza
She has playing time to sell, but obviously it’s also her enthusiasm and an atmosphere of us against everyone which will appeal to a certain type of player who looks for a challenge.
I have no confidence that we will finish anywhere north of 13th in the conference but I would bet we hold our own at times and possibly pull off a key upset at home to build some momentum going into next year.

Re: Women's Transfer Palooza
Very impressive, going from having only one player to 10 in less than 3 weeks.

As I dour on men’s college sports, I am excited for our women’s program. Glad to be part Barnes abd get drama. Hoping this coach does very well. She seems very motivated and knows we have a history of paying successful women’s basketball coaches
