Steve Alford's mother will lay out his lucky trousers for him. Even your walk-ons will have their hair on fire. I sure hope Arizona doesn't think they can go easy.MrBug708 wrote:You guys are favored by what, 15? Go easy, please?

i think UCLA will give the 'Cats a bit of a run for their money and the score will be a lot closer than the analysts say. i look forward to the Arizona-UCLA games every season

Walton has been calling out the refs all season, now Bilas joins in.
Just embarrassing for Larry Scott.

I know it's the Arizona thing to complain about how the refs hate you guys and you seem to use every terrible cliche whether it's actually true or not, so I'm assuming you didn't bother to watch the gameASUHATER! wrote:You mean the insanely pro ucla refs?MrBug708 wrote:Ucla won't have any players left with this reffing

UCLA fans tend to get confused when the refs don't hand them games. They're also still living in the Howland days when UCLA players could assault the opposing team at will on defense without ever being whistled.ASUHATER! wrote:You mean the insanely pro ucla refs?MrBug708 wrote:Ucla won't have any players left with this reffing

I'm guessing Kenny was one of the refs tonight?
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble?
They missed a lot of calls that should have gone your way. Then on the other end they would miss one for us. No one team had a clear advantage, though all 10 of Looney and Parkers fouls were fouls.MrBug708 wrote:I know it's the Arizona thing to complain about how the refs hate you guys and you seem to use every terrible cliche whether it's actually true or not, so I'm assuming you didn't bother to watch the gameASUHATER! wrote:You mean the insanely pro ucla refs?MrBug708 wrote:Ucla won't have any players left with this reffing

Don't worry, Larry will hand you the game in Vegas. Now that will be an unevenly reffed game.MrBug708 wrote:I'm guessing Kenny was one of the refs tonight?
This game was just atrociously reffed for both teams. But all 15 fouls called on your frontcourt were legit fouls so go cry to someone else.....if you can actually find another UCLA fan anywhere to talk to that is.

Bug, would love to comment, but got a posting ban, lol. You know for what? "#Bruinsnation #Infulatration" It was meant as a insult to the haters. Get it undone and I gladly will with pure class as always
Good game tonight though. Got to hand it to UCLA, we may have played bad, but that's the first time I saw the bruins play defense. And they switched it up which slowed us down a bit. That will only help us in Indy!

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble?
Powell played some defense, I'm not sure how much Bryce or Isaac actually played though, as evident by their foul totals.
I don't wield that sort of power, sorry! I was looking forward to some of the Lavin remarks too!

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble?
This was a program victory tonight, period.
Miller's recruiting is off the charts, and our depth reflects that.
Alford went all in on Octeus and Bolden, and now his roster is shorter than Bug's post-secondary matriculation.
Last year, Alford inherited five future pros, so they stole one in Vegas.
This year, the larger trend is taking effect: since Miller was hired, Arizona's overall success has exceeded UCLA's.
Has anyone else noticed that Bryce Alford is UCLA's best player? Remember when Kevin Love held that distinction? Bruins are now a third tier program.
Get used to the view, Bugrectum. Looking up at us in the standings won't be changing anytime soon.
HEH!

The Alford haters are probably crying tonight. I honestly thought the team was going to be scared, especially Bryce. They were ready. It's a really good rivalry, think we play twice a year at each others court for the next couple years, so get ready.MrBug708 wrote:Powell played some defense, I'm not sure how much Bryce or Isaac actually played though, as evident by their foul totals.

Seems like RC97 thinks this win is Miller's biggest moment since he's been hired.

At one point in the first half, Bryce had 11 of UCLA's 16 points and he was dead last on the team in +/-. It's the way it goes reallyBosy Billups wrote:The Alford haters are probably crying tonight. Actually, this win doesn't help us much. It's not as though a victory over UCLA is anywhere near a "quality victory."MrBug708 wrote:Seems like RC97 thinks this win is Miller's biggest moment since he's been hired.

Great point. I suppose that is why 3 of UCLA's top 6 players (on a team with no bench) fouled out with quite a bit of time left... I mean, that should have helped to ensure that we lose, right?ASUHATER! wrote:Wahhhhhhh. It's the truth brotha. Accept it. The officials were horrible and we got a number of bad calls (and the most painful ones were not even on foul calls).. But that was not a distinction that we received exclusively.
In your defense, though - "Just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not after you".

I wasn't speaking about the crowd.
I've always maintained I'd do a bet on the games but most fans did more talking than anything. I had a long standing one with 49, but I think he tired of losing. I'd say a lot more fans probably will find their courage all of a sudden now
