Washington DC restaurant recommendations
Gf and I are headed to DC in a few weeks for a 5 day trip. I used points for the tickets, no rental car etc so I have a decent chunk of change to spend on some good meals when we're there. I haven't been to DC since I was a super touristy 9th grader so I hope someone out there has some great ideas.
I would prefer some great multi course tasting type menus with good wine pairings but any great restaurant will do.
Where's Taylor??

Well crap whaddya know. Can someone move it for me?
Re: Washington DC restaurant recommendations
Been too long since I had a good meal in DC, but for happy hour the Capitol Brewery used to be fun. You can go in and mingle with the power brokers and their interns. Well, mostly the interns, but that's fun too.

I know Adams Morgan is a sweet place for unique ethnic restaurants and a late night drink, but that was a few years ago, and I don't know the status at the moment.

My two go-tos in DC:

Estadio - on 14th St near Logan Circle. Great Spanish style restaurant. Among the best Spanish food I have had outside of Spain. Nice vibe, cool bar. Wide array of tapas. Go there every time I go to DC.

Also an old DC staple where congressmen and everyone important hang out. Good wine list. My wife and I like the crabcakes.

Average DC high in February is upper 40s.

And it will be in the 40s and almost 50s the last couple days he's there. Look at a weather report. And why go now? It's cheaper, less crowded and more efficient.Salty wrote:I doubt it will be over 20 degrees your entire trip there.scumdevils86 wrote:Made a reservation for here Friday night. www.weather.com
www.weather.gov
www.accuweather.com
www.wunderground.com
www.wjla.com/weather.
All of those confirm your ignorance and idiocy.
Also I prefer cold weather, cheap rentals, and lack of crowds. All of which a vacation in Feb and Mar provides me.

You think you like colder weather because 60 degrees in Tucson feels refreshing to you.
