Greg Byrne: "We found out yesterday, and even some new stuff today"
Nate Oats: "We knew"
These two better get their stories straight about what they knew and when they knew it.

That statement by Oats was a heaping pile of bullshit.
“Wrong place, wrong time” would be if Miller happened to be in the car with the killer before the shooting. Providing the murder weapon is a whole other league from just being in the guy’s vicinity.
IMO, Oats should be fired and Miller should be expelled. But then again I don’t run an athletic department that brings in $35M in revenue yearly like Greg Byrne does.

Maybe Oats knew but did not tell Byrne......that would be interesting. We will soon see what matters at Alabama. Texas fired their coach for domestic violence. We will see how the real south deals with a murder.

41 points but only 1 assist.
At least though when he assisted someone this time, no one ended up dead.

Unless the story you’re told is something along the lines of wanting to take it to a gun range to try it out to see if it’s a type/style they might want to purchase themselves.
Can’t think of too many other scenarios where someone would ask me to borrow my gun and I just hand it over no questions.

Seems like it's taken a full 24/7 media cycle for this story to start taking off, and I'm glad it is. I'm glad to see it rightfully taking over this thread. With the condemning text messages released it's amazing a head coach, ad, and university pres are perfectly fine trotting Miller out.

It isn't against school policy to have a gun concealed in your car on campus or to give a gun to someone else? Nothing will happen to Miller. Alabama is driven only by results.

IMNSHO, Miller’s attorney is likely pursuing Alabama’s interests as much as his client’s.
The frisking mime during introductions reveals, again IMNSHO, a narcissism in Miller that we’ve too often seen in pampered athletes.
I’m confident that if Miller were a benchwarmer, he’d have been disappeared faster than a gay son from a MAGA rally

I agree with your points, BM is gone if he's not who he is, and the only reason his buddy is around also is because they can't punish him and not BM.
But my comment is not about BM it's about Jay, who had pitch forks and torches out ready to get Dr. FranknenSean and his monster Aytonstein at an unsubstantiated secret source that one of his cronies had contacted about the possibility some payment, while we have 3 athletes involved in a murder and grand jury testimony that the 2 who were not arrested brought the murder weapon to the scene.
If he is such a changed man, he should probably apologize to Sean, otherwise it just looks like ESPN and all of their commentators and "journalists" are just shills for Bama, the SEC, ACC...
Ps, I'm not sure that I am a good enough mental gymnast to make myself think that, if this was one of our players, that it would be appropriate for him to be playing.

WHile the intensity is good to watch, the reason is, IMNSHO, despicable.
These conferences typically only get a single bid, and a team whose entire season resulted in the league championship is eliminated if they don't win a multi-day tournament. I think that's grossly unfair, and totally devalues the regular season.
IMNSHO, if the regular season champ is defeated they should still go!! And, if the NCAA wants to still give a bid to the tournament champ, let the major conferences lose one of their middle-of-the-pac teams!!! For the major conferences, if a non-bid team wins the conference tourney, they should replace another team from their own conference.
How would Pac-12 womens' fan cheer for Wazzu replacing UCLA, USC or Arizona???
That would spread around the intensity, eh???

Typical ESPN and Lunardi. Texas beats Kansas by 20 and this is the second time in a week. Lunardi asked who is number 1 seed is after that and he says Kansas. If that conference is so tough then why not Texas? Texas was without one of their best players Timmy Allen. Texas losing their coach mid-year was not an obstacle? Big sports providers are going to ruin this game because they have a financial incentive to shade things that will reward them financially. That is the real reason the PAC is screwed.

So another fn example. During the Duke - Virginia game Holly Rowe just said that Duke's coach Jon S. just had the best year for a first time coach she has seen in 35 years. WTF. Did he win the conference and get a number 1 seed that I don't know about? He did probably have the best recruiting class in the nation and can't win his league in a down year? I just hate those folks. Maybe she should just look who has the best record of all time in their first two years.

All the cynicism I've spouted about college programs going gaga for hiring blast-from-the-past NBA faces - Patrick Ewing, Juwan Howard, Jerry Stackhouse - and wouldn't you know, Anfernee Hardaway has Memphis consistently improving year by year. Last year getting the Tigers into the Tournament for the first time and advancing to the Second Round, now in his fifth season Anfernee wins the conference tournament with a 26-8 record, beating #1 Houston in the final, and now Memphis waits for a higher tournament seed.
