As awesome as those numbers are, they just can’t capture just how awesome his performance was! The second three was world class!! In the last quarter of the game, every time he got the ball on the perimeter, I was screaming “clear out!!!” at the TV!!97cats wrote: Sat Mar 12, 2022 10:12 pm 39mins - 27pts - 6-14fg - 2-6(3pt) - 13-15ft - 4rb - 7a - 1blk - 1st - 2to
In person it looked like he started falling backward even before contact. Not sure what the TV showed.

good post - the second three off the same paint to elbow screen action that worked first play coming out of the half was a bigtime next level shot.pc in NM wrote: Sat Mar 12, 2022 10:26 pm As awesome as those numbers are, they just can’t capture just how awesome his performance was! Man, if he'd converted this, it might've been the greatest ever AZ dunk on ucla.RaisingArizona wrote: Sat Mar 12, 2022 11:05 pmVegasCatFan wrote: Sat Mar 12, 2022 10:54 pmIn person it looked like he started falling backward even before contact. Not sure what the TV showed.

BIG10 has nine teams in the tournament and three players on the first team and zero teams capable of making the Final Four - fascinatingEastCoastCat wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 10:45 am I assumed so. Was hoping first team but that was going to be tough.
But on the bright side extra motivation for Benn over the next 3 weeks.
The first team has two centers wtf
me too but Illinois wont be there...and im assuming most of the rest of the BIF10 wont either - the conf is poised for an early round(s) blood bath.Alieberman wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 10:46 am Hope he gets to go head-to-head with some of those on 1st team
Gonna be very interesting to see if this "Big 10 is overrated" thing holds any water this week. I'm seeing it everywhere.97cats wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 10:48 amme too but Illinois wont be there...and im assuming most of the rest of the BIF10 wont either - the conf is poised for an early round(s) blood bath.Alieberman wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 10:46 am Hope he gets to go head-to-head with some of those on 1st team
Damn skippy
Would like him to cut the 3 point attempts in half and attack the rim more. He's too athletic to settle for 30 footers.
And not get any foul attempts. Dude is a frickin' lottery pick and he won't take it inside?Beachcat97 wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 7:51 pm Would like him to cut the 3 point attempts in half and attack the rim more. He's too athletic to settle for 30 footers.
Yeah. It irritates the shit out of me to see guys as athletic as Benn settle for low percentage shots. He's not a good enough 3 point shooter to take 10 in a game. It makes me wonder about his confidence in driving to the basket. He does get stripped at times, but more often, he gets into the lane without trouble. Takes a lot of floaters. If he doesn't get better at drawing contact and getting to the line, he's going to struggle at the next level.Merkin wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 9:24 pmAnd not get any foul attempts. I understand your first point, which is valid, but the part in bold is inane.Beachcat97 wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 9:26 pmYeah. I guess I'd just ask whether anyone besides Kriisa should ever take 10 threes for us. I'm focused on Benn because he has rare quickness and athleticism. He's our slasher. DT has some slashing ability too. But when we're running weaves at the top of the key, trying to open up space and create scoring looks, Benn is our best dribble drive penetration option. He can get into the key against most teams, whenever he wants. When he shoots from inside the key, either on a floater or layup, those are always going to be higher % shots than threes. Plus he could get fouled. He's not getting to the line shooting 30 footers.Harvey Specter wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 9:59 pmI understand your first point, which is valid, but the part in bold is inane.Beachcat97 wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 9:26 pmYeah. He made 4 of them, and he shot 38% for the year. That is as efficient as 57% inside the arc, 11th in the conference and best on the team among players averaging at least one made per game.
