Any encouraging tweets by Fisch?
I would much rather have another OL.........we have much greater need for OL than edge rushers.azcat49 wrote: Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:14 pm No but he did say they expect to sign one more. Can’t imagine it could be anyone else. I am surprised by this guy as I thought we were full but they always find room
So does this mean we didn’t get the commitment we had hoped for, or is this one of those found hidden gems?
I'll take all the good players we can get, especially as a walk-on, but I'm curious as to why he couldn't get a P5 offer if he has the talent to "easily play at the Power 5 level". Looks like he did get some sniffs from other school, but apparently didn't end up with a committable P5 offer.
I agree, but if you are not adding a instant starter any additional OL is not adding much. Outside QB there is no other position that has less positional rotation then OL.
Agree completely. The only place this recruiting class comes up somewhat short is on the offensive line. It was the one place we needed immediate help and we didn't get much. One of the 3 frosh might be able to contribute (Jonah Savaiinaea) and the Baylor transfer will be eligible (Divall). Thats pretty much it. The big JUCO kid had a bunch of FCS offers and appears to be a major prospect. Buford looks like he passes the eye test but has to sit out a year. Its not like we didn't try, we offered a number of transfers and JC kids but crapped out on all of them. We also lose our 2 best OLineman from last year (Laie and McCauley). I hope we can keep De Laura vertical for most of the year..........last years OL got two QB's knocked out for the season and another one severely banged up.gronk4heisman wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 12:30 pmI agree, but if you are not adding a instant starter any additional OL is not adding much. Brian Greene (transfer portal from WSU) is still available. I saw his list and we apparently haven't offered.........not sure why. He can play center or guard.

Would love to know since Rivals doesn't have him on the commit or transfer list. Would definitely make me feel a bit better about the Offensive Line situation.MountainCat wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 3:53 pmOh….Oops….
