We've made a family decision not to instill our child with belief in Santa Claus. Instead, we're instilling her with belief in a tiny gnome who lives under the floorboards and brings your presents. And instead of taking her to see Santa, we bring her out to the front of our house to a small, grated opening next to the gas meter, and have her get on her hands and knees and shout into the crawl space what she wants for Christmas.

Had a great Christmas!! Think I ended up with one shirt and a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetohs. Gave everything else to my son. Couldn't have been better!!
