Gonna be traveling to Charlotte area for a wedding of one of the most popular posters from the old boards. Never been even close to the area and looking for suggestions on things to do, places to eat (bbq), and general advice about the area. Will be there in early September. Thanks in advance!!

My sister lives there. Says it's a progressive bastion being mostly yankees in a sea of hillbillies. Never said anything about food though. Think they go to South Carolina for good food.
