If only Bishop Sycamore had promoted themselves a little more legitimately and who knows, by next year two SEC schools would've had B.S. in their November non-conference schedule.

As if I needed more reasons to believe ESPN employees won’t even bother to do a simple Google search when presented with scant evidence of a vague rumor they’ve been told.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Getting fired from a place that doesn't exist is like getting suspended from homeschool; story just gets weirder.

Granted it's Texas so everything is bigger, as they say, but their high school stadiums are over the top:

Melissa Texas, a bedroom community in exurbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, has just completed a $35M football stadium for their High School of 1300 students. There's also box seats and an indoor practice facility.

My kid’s future high school has twice the students and their stadium is like 1/8th the size.

Sabino Canyon wins first Tucson area state football championship in 8 years. Brooks Reed on the sidelines watching and congratulating team. Canyon Del Oro has also advanced to the state championship in their 4A class, to be played this weekend.

Arizona high school football's rise proven by 8 players taken in 2024 NFL Draft

Eight players who gained high school football fame in Arizona were chosen in this year's NFL draft. That is believed to be a record number for this state in one year.
...
The eight players from Arizona high schools rank as the 11th most in America, according to High School Football America, which lists Florida with the most with 30. Texas was second with 24, followed by Georgia (23), California (18), Louisiana (11) and New Jersey (11). Alabama, Maryland, North Carolina and Ohio were tied with 10 apiece. Then came Arizona, which produced more than Illinois (seven), Michigan (seven), Pennsylvania (six) and Indiana (six).

I'm at that dirty place, the stadium formerly known as Scum Devil Stadium, watching the new school from the Vail area Mica Mountain take on Arizona College Prep from Chandler in the 4A championship.

Mica Mountain is coached by ex-CDO and Cienega coach Pat Nugent. Cienega's original coach Nemer Hassey is the principal. (My son played at Cienega)

Go Thunderbolts! (Their mascot is a warthog, staying with the A-10 theme)

EDIT: Mica Mountain won 42-13

Mica Mountain must be a newer Tucson area H.S. Don't remember them back when I was living in Tucson.

It's the new school on Valencia / Houghton. Rita Ranch/Civano area in the Vail School District.
