Dream interpretation
Never eat a super burrito before a 10k race.
I had some wild dreams last night.
We had a dinner party at our house for Jared and Ivanka and I spent the bulk of the time taking about a giant chocolate chip cookie baked at your table at a posh restaurant on peachtree street in Atlanta!
Wtf? What does that say about my subconscious !?!

i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

Re: Dream interpretation
All my dreams lately are just continuations of meetings and calls an conversations I have at work. Also, I'm exhausted.

Re: Dream interpretation
Not everyone here knows Schnebly, but he's a poster on this site.
I dreamed Schnebly met me for lunch at Choice Greens on Speedway, and he was acting totally neurotic.
He insisted on us sitting at a rectangular table-for-four so our legs wouldn't touch.
Then he got up and moved another table over to sit even further from me.
It was getting crowded and a couple had nowhere to sit, so I tried to give them one of our two tables, and Schnebly accused me of being hostile.
Halfway through lunch, he went to the bathroom and completely changed all his clothes. He came out wearing what was obviously some kind of emergency back-up clothing. Something between sweats and pajamas.
Then he told me about an app he developed, called SKINNEXTOME. I couldn't really follow what it was about, but something about the skin of the person next to you.
Then I woke up laughing.

Nude college girls.
Is that wrong?
I see fantastic looking college girls every day, and for every year as I get older, they stay the same age.
It's all the fault of biology, and the need to continue the species through reproduction, not being a dirty old man.

Or more like nude college girls being nude with all their nudity out there in the nude?

Re: Dream interpretation
I was in a unnamed east coast city at a swanky piano bar/restaurant with my 4 other high school friends and a friend from grad school. I was upset at my grad school friend for eating McDonalds as a snack and “ruining” his dinner which I was springing for. We were watching a Bush tribute band and they were awesome. I kept going back for gratis chocolate chip cookies from the chef crafted dessert bar long into the night many hours after we had completed dinner. At first one of the servers tried to stop me from more cookies, it then I said we had dinner there at 630p and it was 10:30p so she let it slide. One of my friends told me he owned a “rooster” farm in Arizona and the other was talking about how his wife wanted to buy a cello. He showed me a large phone book size compendium of cellos to select from.
Then I woke up.
Again with the chocolate chip cookies (soft of course) I truly wonder what chocolate chip cookies represent in my psyche.

Careful! Research has shown that eating during dreams can actually cause weight gain because your brain thinks you're eating and releases some kind of chemical substance that converts energy into fat.CalStateTempe wrote:I was in a unnamed east coast city at a swanky piano bar/restaurant with my 4 other high school friends and a friend from grad school. Then again, said research was something people used to talk about before the internet, along with the research that showed we should drink eight glasses of water per day, and that there's no benefit to cardio exercise until 20 minutes into it. We'd learn these things from our local news broadcasts, which the dumb woman with big hair read from a teleprompter. But since googling is hard, I prefer to fear-monger people for dreams they can't control.

Re: Dream interpretation
I land in Paris (I’ve never been IRL) and take the metro to city center. I exit the metro ascending an escalator into a mall with posh french style neoclassical architecture and walk around in ah of how clean and sparkly everything looks. I turn the corner and am in a hall of bookstores, with the original versions classical tests from every era of human history. The people inside are dressed very posh. Unique to this one bookstore was also a platform for a train with train track running through the middle of the store. People would be browsing books when a bell would ring and the customers would part the middle and a high speed train would pull up, people would enter and exit, and then go. Customers would begin browsing and milling around again as if this was a normal everyday occurrence.
Apparently I am a post college aged man and the purpose of my trip was to spend time with a early 20s French women who I have feelings for. What you’d imagine a French women to be, skinny with well proportioned bust and posterior, likes to wear spaghetti straps black dresses and occasionally smokes skinny long cigarettes after a good meal. Attitude, but sexy and pleasant when disarmed, but not warm. One night while getting ready, now she is wearing white dress and asked me to put bacon lotion on her back. I am confused at the French turning bacon into beauty products but oblige. I accidentally get some on the white dress near the neck line and she gets upset. The rest of the night I am concerned that I am dating a “land shark” and make the decision to have fun for the evening and then cut it off.
We are walking through a French suburb and come to a house. She is telling me stories of her childhood. We go into a house and it’s pretty dilapidated. She shows me picture from her teenage high school years. For some reason I can’t get over the previous nights decision and before leaving the house begins to crumble, I escape and then wake up.
WTF!!!???

CST, I would be very impressed with myself if I had had such a coherent dream. No switching back and forth between participant and observer? No radical, quasi-nauseating morphing of one physical condition into another? My dreams resemble DiCaprio's primer walk with Ellen Page in Inception. You're plumb normal man, and the bacon bit proves it. Thinking Paris was clean is a tad delusional but I'm just picking nits.

These are first person accounts, and I feel I have to write the bizarre ones down (especially if I feel myself making decisions/thinking during the dream, does that make sense?) when I wake up so I dont forget the details. I share with you guys cause you’re a bunch of intelligent, creative, and insightful dudes.

Lol at inception! I’d say they are generally 70/30 in favor of participant over observer. I’ll spare you guys the truly fucked up Salvador Dali ones that are a mesh of “momento” meets bad Quentin Tarantino.dovecanyoncat wrote:CST, I would be very impressed with myself if I had had such a coherent dream. How did you know that in the dream? Just a feeling? Re: Dream interpretation
I think I saw myself in the bathroom mirror as I was looking for the bacon lotion and it looked like me from my mid 20s.
Yeah it’s weird because they say dreams are influenced by the previous days events which included myself denying inappropriate requests for opioids, treated various acute injuries, and coaching U6 soccer. No talk of Europe or sultry European women.
Perhaps I have forgotten everything that happened from my mid 20s onward.

What was/were the dominant emotional context of these dreams? (These are often the most self-revealing aspects of dreams, rather than details - it's only you. after all...)CalStateTempe wrote:I think I saw myself in the bathroom mirror as I was looking for the bacon lotion and it looked like me from my mid 20s.

What was/were the experiences of each character or significant object in each dream? (They are/were solely projections of your own consciousness, after all...)
Over time, are there recurring themes, characteristic experiences/settings/contexts among your dreams? (These "patterns" and recurrences often are revealing deep aspects of yourself, of which you may be more or less consciously aware...)
I share this for any dreamers, not just in response to these specific reports....
