It’s Game Day!

The Arizona Wildcats wrap up their first Big 12 road trip by taking on the 21st-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers. Arizona (8-5, 2-0) lost to West Virginia (11-2, 2-0) in overtime at the Battle4Atlantis in the Bahamas over Thanksgiving and is making its first visit to Morgantown since 1950.

I agree, thought Thursday and Saturday were perfect. Especially when the players are supposed to be student-athletes too.

They used to be student athletes. They are little more than Professional athletes under the new rules. Hence the Monday/Tuesday basketball games. The Big12 has made $$$$$ offering games early in the week for a number of years. Its all driven by the networks and $$$.

True. I read where the NCAA is considering doing away with redshirts and let every player have 5 seasons of playing.

So with the transfer rules, you will see a lot of college players at 5 schools in 5 years, and no degree to show for it since most schools require 2 years in residence to get a degree.

You are probably correct regarding the degree issue (I hadn't even thought about that). The member schools of the NCAA should get out in front of that and change the rules to allow multi-school-transfer players the opportunity to get degrees even if they haven't been at one school for more than 1 year.

Kind of a weird game. Not a whole of energy to me. For sure we have taken their crowd out of the game but it seems like both teams are on the tail end of back to back games

I agree WVU shooting badly. Just seems like we have no flow at times. Hopefully we play better in the second half. If not we will be hard pressed to win.
