The AD basically told him to make the NCAA tourney in 2014 or he was fired. He did that, so he gets an extension so he doesn't just have two years on his contract remaining and he can sell recruits on being there for their whole college career.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
