Amazon.com
Unfortunately I didn't find out about the sale until this evening. But there are still a few hours left. Amazon prime is only $67 until midnight. I won't pay $99 but this deal works, and I've only seen it once before.

Re: Amazon.com
I have had so much problems with Amazon's delivery service ever since they started using (or rather contracting) carriers, that I will have to go elsewhere. In a general statement their service sucks and I can't depend on getting the merchandise on time, if at all. It's been very frustrating. Their service has gone downhill and I won't do business with them anymore. Prime or otherwise. I do like receiving my product. Their service sucks now and I bet I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Re: Amazon.com
I buy a lot from the Amazon Warehouse, since you can get a lot of items 80% off or so, but as a general rule, I have to send back electronics 50% back or more, since they don't work at all.
They do not do any testing, they just eyeball them, and resell it. Use the customer base to do the testing.
I sent my daughter in HI some tempura paint, paint exploded all over the box. I chatted with Amazon CSR, asked them if I could have a refund without sending the paint back, they said no, my daughter needed to send the box back, exploded paint inside and all.
Amazon pays for return shipping, so they will have to take this $6 item, have it shipped from Honolulu to Las Vegas, just so their warehouse guy can open a box full of paint.
Side note, saw that Bezos is the richest man in the world now.

Re: Amazon.com
I would say just the opposite. I live down an alley in a hard to find neighborhood in central Tucson in a duplex. I have had issues constantly with deliveries from Amazon due to no fault of their own. Mostly it is ups and the usps that can't manage to get their heads out of their ass. I've had several occasions where packages were said to be delivered and I never received them. Amazon has been nothing short of fantastic in dealing with it for me. In every instance they immediately contacted me (through their app you can enter your phone number and a rep will call you immediately in reference to that specific order # and they don't have to ask you a bunch of verification questions and all that stuff) and offered to resend the item to me by next day air at absolutely zero cost to me. Then they offered that if the original package ended up showing up after all I was free to keep both items at no obligation or cost. Quite possibly the easiest to rectify and most satisfying customer service experiences I've ever had.

I like amazon prime. The way I look at it, I get my stuff quickly, on time, and save the trip time and gas.

Just wanted to add, I have no plans on dropping Prime. I hate going to Walmart, which Amazon tries to price match, so generally just order online. Everything from toothpaste to toilet paper.

Well South Lake Tahoe has a population of 21,000 vs 530,000 for Tucson so that could be part of it haha.CalStateTempe wrote:Yet, South Lake Tahoe has none.

Anyone else notice the Prime now includes Prime Music. Love it. It makes Prime worth it. Included is the link for the music player on Windows.

Re: Amazon.com
Got an email that a package was going to be delivered and I could track it on the website. Tracking # starts with TBA and they are hiring people to buy vehicle fleets to deliver packages (http://www.logistics.amazon.com" target="_blank). It shows me where the delivery truck is and how many stops until my place in real time. I followed the dot on the map all the way to my door haha. 2 minutes later I get a picture of the box sitting by my door. What a time to be alive

Used the Amazon Go store for the first time today. Kind of fun to just walk right the fuck out with whatever I wanted and not have to deal with getting everything rung up and paid for.

At Sam's club, if you scan all your products with the SC app you can pay and skip the cash registers. When did Amazon start charing for returns? I seem to remember to be able to return anything for free but the last couple things I've had to return they charged me a fee.

Weird...Alieberman wrote:When did Amazon start charing for returns? I seem to remember to be able to return anything for free but the last couple things I've had to return they charged me a fee.
The last three things I’ve tried to return they refunded me the money and told me to keep the item.

I think it depends on the vender and the reason for the return.Chicat wrote:Weird...Alieberman wrote:When did Amazon start charing for returns? I seem to remember to be able to return anything for free but the last couple things I've had to return they charged me a fee.

Re: Amazon.com
A couple upgrades by Amazon during the last couple of years that are pretty cool. One is the lockers at the local Circle K. The other is the tracking system. I know when the driver is about to deliver my package and exactly where they are and how many deliveries before mine. So I always know when they arrive and look out for them (I live in a gated community).
Re: Amazon.com
I'm pretty sure I'm only going to use the lockers from now on. So much easier and safer to go pick it up at the QuikTrip a half mile away than risking it being stolen or whatever at home.

Re: Amazon.com
Ever since they started having random independent contractor people do deliveries with that tracker it has been awful. Over half the time the delivery is thrown into my neighbor's back yard despite my paragraph of careful and detailed instructions otherwise.

Re: Amazon.com
Including a photograph of the package with the delivered alert is great, too. Covers everybody’s ass and helps me know where the delivery person left the package. My house is apparently confusing. There have been packages left all over the place. One time, I reported a delivered package as missing. Eventually they resent the order. Then my friend visited and I took him up on the roof to see the view of the (hopefully) future master suite addition. And lo and behold, I see the package tucked away in a portion of my back yard I only get out to once a week at most. Oops.
