What was the conflict of interest?
I have missed that detail in all of this.

He used to do work with a company that worked with/for universities and that was over 5 years ago. So it's a shoddy accusation needless to say.

IMNSHO, in any corporate structure, whenever a board member (especially and officer of the board) also has a management role in the organization, there is a potential for, and generally an appearance of, conflict of interest.

And, that is the issue that's being criticized here.

Yup. Also, there were some odd things with the Ashford trx that some watchers believe are trying to be tampered down by the ABOR members that were Robbins champions.

An example is why should Robbins (a state employee) have received a cash bonus when the deal closed? The whole inventive structure is fucked up and should be flagged as a reason why the blazing red flags were intentionally ignored.

I can't say for AZ state employees, but as a CA state employee I could not even accept a $20 Amazon gift card from a vendor.

Erika Barnes is indeed leaving Arizona. She has a job lined up and was/is going to announce it on her own terms. A third party posted billboards around town thanking her. Her job has actually been posted for a few weeks now. Big loss for Arizona. Have a feeling she will return.

Definitely feels like a big loss. I’m not sure anyone embodies the Bear Down spirit more than Erika in everything she does.
