Overseeded much?
Can't wait til Monday when all the talking heads are wondering why the SEC lost so many games.
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

The Big12 is 0-1 head-to-head vs the SEC, so far. And that was an #8 vs. #9 - virtually an even match-up...

... all else is noise.

My tournament summary after round 1

Serious separation from top of half the field to the bottom

Mostly blowouts and only 5 double digit teams advanced.

I predict hardly any teams over a 6 seed to get to sweet 16

Big 3 Conferences are dominating- 69% of field of 32 come from these 3 conferences/ expect that number to be even higher in sweet 16

Might be somewhat boring this week but I expect next week to be really really good

This is an after effect of NIL/Transfer portal.

Prior to the Portal/NIL few players from the smaller/cinderalla teams would transfer during their careers. They would have to sit out a year and there was no financial incentive. Now if a smaller school has a player develop/blow-up they can transfer immediately and get paid.

This results in the rich getting richer and the poor (smaller schools) getting poorer. This will inevitably lead to fewer and fewer upsets in future NCAA tournaments.

I imagine UA will pick up a couple of mid-major players, although the results last time were less than impressive with Townsend and ADO.

Oakland won 8 less games without Townsend and missed the tourney. Campbell had about the same losing record with and without ADO.
