12 point favorites. I would assume they slow it down. Have to check the total number. I think we play well. 9:30 tip, hate the late starts. What is this, football

when I google the game tonight, google tells me it's on at 9pm mst.
but the game article and game notes and bball's twitter still list it as 930 so i'mma assume 930 is still correct

So Pepperdine lost to UCF 78-65. Just crazy. We must have worn them out. Right now we look bigger, more physical and much quicker than Penn

Jeter taking advantage of the double team on Zeke.

He is also letting Brodeur blow past him on defense. So you tell me what is better, leading in points or surrendering just as many? There is a reason why Lee was out there for a lot of the first half.

Chase is faster than Gettings, but not by a ton. Brodeur is 3 for 10, so we're not doing too bad on him in aggregate.

It’s just shocking how many catastrophic defensive breakdowns we have. I guess the upside is that they are brain problems more than body problems . . . so maybe this can be fixed? :?

I agree that he, and a few others on this team so far, has defensive liabilities...

... but “out there yucking it up” is not accurate for his contributions so far tonite.

When he blows past Jeter, other players have to help, this leads to opportunities for the other players on Penn. Brodeur leads his team in assists. Oh well.

Seems we've always been vulnerable to a drive across the top of the paint and down the far lane. Opponents seem to have a Stapley and we only occasionally have a Nick Johnson.

If we can't hedge on screens against Penn and Pepperdine without giving up easy buckets....what the hell kind of chance do we have of making that work against the Oregons/Gonzagas of the world??

I think Miller needs to rethink parts of his defense.

Agreed - Brodeur is a smart player, and their offense runs through him...

... benched with four fouls, they should have major difficulty now.

The catastrophic breakdowns are frustrating and concerning. But they still only count for 2 points despite drawing lots of attention to themselves. But that means they are playing good D when they don’t throw a shoe.
