That’s “projection”.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

I don't have a People to kill list. I just really think you have no idea the criticism he has faced throughout his career or any real compassion for someone that at times was unfairly criticized or personally attacked. How many times have you seen EVERY teammate felt compelled to address this issue? Why do you think they do that? Do you think that maybe they have seen the criticism or worse much closer than you? Do you think they are closer to how hard someone works, how committed to the team and teammates? Compassion when they recognize an injustice? Of course you don't.Chicat wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 4:55 amI think this was my only post on the matter.TheCat wrote: Fri Mar 28, 2025 9:57 pm No one is above criticism but was it you that said you didn't want him back or was it someone else?

If the choice is Love or Boswell, give me Love. But in truth I want to see the kids play. I think the future is brighter the more experience KJ, Krivas, and the freshmen get.
TheCat wrote: Fri Mar 28, 2025 9:57 pm Chi what new news have you brought in the last 5 years other than complaints about everything.
“Projection is a defense mechanism where an individual unconsciously attributes their own unacceptable thoughts, feelings, or behaviors to another person or group.”
Can’t wait for your next batch of posts complaining that some people had issues with Caleb’s playing style. I’m sure they’ll be just as useful as all the others.
You have changed and you are now the "get off my lawn guy" that was a good neighbor but something happened. Or as you would say maybe I'm projecting. LOL. Hope you find peace in your criticism of others and that it helps you in someway.
My own "unacceptable thoughts" are confined to the current duly elected administration. That is all I have room for.

Wow TheCat has a hard on for being the board police and psychologist. God forbid anyone lays any criticism on our coach or players. They can't improve at all and any poster who posts they need improvement is just a negative nancy.

Re: Caleb Love
Does anyone know how likely it is Caleb will get a chance with an NBA team? I don't follow draft stuff at all.

Re: Caleb Love
Caleb will certainly get a "chance", but won't be a first round draft choice, and won't be guaranteed contract.AZCatGirl wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 11:51 am Does anyone know how likely it is Caleb will get a chance with an NBA team? I don't follow draft stuff at all.
Even if undrafted, he'll get signed on to a team, but would have to make the cut...

Maybe a late second rounder. More likely he’ll get a free agent invite to a camp and might get a G-League or two-way contract.AZCatGirl wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 11:51 am Does anyone know how likely it is Caleb will get a chance with an NBA team? I don't follow draft stuff at all.
Honestly, he would dominate in Europe or Asia, but he has to chase his dream. I hope he proves himself to be an NBA-level talent. Definitely pulling for him.

Re: Caleb Love
I think his tournament performance might have got him a late 2nd round flyer. The big issue is that scouts have seen that before and know he is not consistent, so I am not sure how much of a bump he will get from it.Chicat wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 11:57 amMaybe a late second rounder. If you look at the Duke game there were many shots he made that he absolutely would have missed when his confidence was shot earlier in the year.
If Caleb could keep the mindset of a competitive dog all the time I think he could carve out a role in the NBA. Just seems that unless he is playing for something important he can't maintain that mindset consistently.

I don't have too. I can just read your posts and the definition comes to life. Not a dime store psychoanalysis just a simple observation that obviously hit a spot. You still have no idea why teammates have felt compelled to defend Caleb do you? That is what I thought.
Hope you and especially those around you have happiness and peace.
Projecting again. LOL.
Re: Caleb Love
Fun fact for you. Gil in his first three years in the league made more than LeBron. Reason being 1st round draft selections are under a formula for the length of their contract. Gil only had a 2 year agreement since he was 2nd round and then got to the magical 2nd contract a year before Lebron. Now that does not cover endorsements. The real reason folks what to go pro before they are fully ready is the second contract which is a tremendous amount of money for even moderate/good players.pc in NM wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 12:20 pmEven if undrafted, he'll get a look - sometimes, a free agent contract can work better than a 2nd round pick, because the player has some choice between a couple of teams for a pre-season contract...CopaCat wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 12:12 pmI think his tournament performance might have got him a late 2nd round flyer. Wasn't most of the "bad teammate" stuff from UNC? I heard a rumor that he hooked up with another player's girlfriend.

Re: Caleb Love
Yeah that rumor was pretty well known when he left UNC.
I never bought into it much, I attributed it more to the fact that him and RJ were basically the same type of player fighting for one spot, so he left.

Re: Caleb Love
The point was that he wasn't really a bad teammate. But he might have been labeled that way because of a girl dispute. And people tend to pick sides when a dispute like that comes up.pc in NM wrote: Sun Mar 30, 2025 7:06 amSource, or delete it, please!Postmaster wrote: Sun Mar 30, 2025 12:22 am Wasn't most of the "bad teammate" stuff from UNC?
